Everyone else has membership numbers for their color oriented clubs, we should start ours if it hasn't started already.

I guess I will start.

We should at least have a list of space blue cars in the first post. Checkmate, you should go through and add people to the list according to their first post. Then at least we'll know how many SB 's we have here.

I traded in my '05 BRG MC in August for an '06 Space Blue MCS. Wow, what a car. Now we have two MINI's in the garage. Wife has an '06 PW MCS.

to this day, i do not see many space blues on the road. And i love it! I always see all the other colors all the time. The only time I see space blues is when scavenger and revwillie decide to show up to some club meets. Oh and we have one or two more in the club that i know of, but I don't know their names.

Hello to all fellow SB Mini owners

My Mini was delivered about three weeks ago and all is well. "She" just went past the 1400 mile mark, all enjoyable easy going miles. Since every Mini must have a name, I have decided to call her....."Wensleydale" after Wallace's favorite cheese. My wife was unsure but as I pointed out, this Mini is sophisticated yet cheezy in her own way so it fits perfectly.

Love the threads on NAM, I really got a great education in cleaning, waxing and detailing, funny just when you think you know it all......you learn more !

BTW: I apoligize to all the SB owners in the Washington,D.C. area......you got another one on the road....wave to you soon !

Cheers,

Mike

Hey guys! I'm glad to see there's a SB club, but sorry if i'm a little late in noticing! My gf was a bit jealous when I got my SB MC because she has a HB MC and actually liked mine a little more. We're both happy with them though.

Anybody have any pics of a SB MINI with bonnet stripes other than the U-Stripe? I'm considering either the single wide viper stripe, the double viper stripe, or the classic MC bonnet stripes but in silver.

See you on the road!

There are only a few in the Portland area that I have seen. Its always been strange to me how I see more purple that space blue. I love the combo.

I pick up my Space Blue MCS on Dec 30th. Loving it so far. This is my first MC. Coming out of a Corvette, and loving the feel of the car. Now...to get more horsepower out of it.

Hello, all--
I've been a longtime lurker here in the Space Blue Club, but thought that it was time to make myself known after the request for photos of other stripes. We are the proud owners of Gus, who came to us on July 31st after a very long six week wait. I wanted the traditional bonnet and boot stripes and was pleased that the dealer was able to install them in a silver, with black pinstripes, that matches the roof perfectly. Attached are a few photos, and more are in my gallery.

I've wanted a MINI forever and as soon as I saw the Space Blue and Silver roof, I knew that was my dream combination. Part of me was quite sad to see it discontinued for 2007, but I'm very happy that we have some very unique MINIs!

Great! I hope that your stripe hunting goes well! Please, let us know what you decide. It took a few days after our pick-up to have the stripes installed, and I almost changed my mind. I was SO happy with how he looked; I thought that he looked very classy stripe-free. I went ahead and had them installed and am now even happier with him. After five months, he still makes me smile every time I see him!

Count me in. I got my 2006 MC in October (2006). I just found this thread now, but better late than never!

Although we haven't had much of a winter here in Maine, it's been messy enough to have me cringing every week or so when I have to drive it through the salt / sand that the DoT spreads even when it only rains. The car looks so forlorn when it's covered in salt and muck.

I love owning a MINI - there are so many other MINIphiles out there and more joining all the time! I have been in the LBC community for longer than I care to think about (~40 years), mainly involved with Triumphs (I have a TR3 and a TR6). The Triumph folks are enthusiastic too, but not as energized (young?) as the MINI crowd seems to be. I'm lovin' it
