Part number for the R56 trunk button connector

Just wondering if anyone has a part number for this connector and the wires? It’s the connector for the button on the trunk, the one on my r56 is corroded and broke and the closest parts junkyard is about an hour away. Just wanted to get this connector with like 3 inches of wire on it and splice it into my broken one. Thanks and have a great day!

RealOEM has the part number as # 61119272873

They list is as Repair wiring set for truck lid, if your lucky you'll find a boot lid release on Ebay with a cut harness still attached.

They changed the color and

Some people undo the wires and then cut, recrimp.

What about the metal plugs that attach to the wire and then plug into the connector or do they come with the connector?

They are on the connection wires. They come pre-crimped now on some wires.

oh shoot thanks I didn’t even notice that! I was thinking of going to a junk yard and taking off the connector myself that way I don’t have to order any parts separate and it’ll be cheaper. Sorry for all the work you guys did but thank you!

No problem. Glad to help. These tools help with the pin removal and repair.

If you don't want to drive all the way to the junkyard, you could try contacting a MINI dealer remotely.

I actually found a guy selling an r56 for parts and asked him if he could cut the connector with about 4 inches of wire and he shipped it to me for $20 total so eh works for me. Might’ve paid more but it was probably the easiest way lol
