OBC Retrofit...

I know people have done it with a button from Radioshack or wherever, but can it be done using the original headlight stalk? I bought a stalk with the button to retofit it onto my '03, but it didn't come with any wires. What do I need to complete this job? Do I need a special wire to connect to the wire behind the speedo? Thanks!!

Does this help?

It seems like there is a kit to retrofit the OBC.

Egh... Not really (thanks though). What's the little box on the right?

According to DarkMiniCooperS's write-up, all he had to do was wire a switch to a wire behind the speedo, and it worked seemlessly. Now there are two write-ups on Mini2. One for the retrofit, and one for the actual dealership install. What I can't figure out is what some of the parts list is, and if I need all of it. Can I make my own wires? Thanks.

I'm just in search of better detailed & colored pictures. I don't understand all of what the black & white instructions are saying/showing...:impatient
