It was intended to be a joke because your left rear is so highly decorated with stuff. Haha?

I've seen 3 fellow Minis in the 6 days that I have been an owner...no waves back. I'll keep trying.

I'm surprised. I bought my first MINI just three months ago and have given the wave close to a dozen times and haven't yet got one back.

I had a year of a dry spell with no waves in LA/OC county.

I wasn't sure because of the dark tinted windows, but I caught a shadow of a wave today on the 710N/405N before the 110. To whoever was in the black/red roof JCW R56, you made my day. Nice car too

I was in the astro black/silver R55 S with the silver OZ wheels. Til we meet again, JCW.

SUCCESS!!! For about a month, I've passed the same red mini in the morning and evening going to and from work. I wave every time and no response (my fiance says that people may not want to wave to a tall, bald guy with a bushy beard...). I finally got a wave back from her this morning. Maybe I wore her down or maybe it was because it was early on a Monday morning...either way, I'm counting it as a Win.

Got some waves back once in a while and lately just a blank stare. May be because I drive a CMS...

On a trip into town yesterday, I waved at two MINIs and got two waves back.

On 340 North near Charles Town,WV. I waved at an older guy in a blue hatch back. He waved back but he looked really confused.

My ratio of waves given to waves returned is pretty low since I got the Roadster. Not sure if it's a lack of knowledge on the part of the other drivers or that the Roadster isn't as easy to spot as a H/T. While driving to dinner last night however, a motorcyclist that was stopped at the light in front of us looked back then looked back again with a wave and a thumbs-up.

I took my first road trip in my new F56 MCS and to be honest it was 50/50 on wave response. One of my friends who is not in the know about waving thought I was crazy on our 5 hour drive. I told him if he did not like it he could drive his giant ugly truck next time. He started waving at people shortly after that. He must like my 42 MPG we were getting.

I still wave. I get a lot of weird 'do I know you?' looks. Those that wave back usually have MOT badges or are tricked out.

Congrats, djenks76. Now, on to the next non-waver.

I see a green MCS all the time and wave...nothing. Now strange, I'm getting waves from other kinds of cars and even Harley's. what's up with that. I just smile and wave. Loving it!

My take on the Waves from Non-Mini Motorers' is; I suspect some of the people own a Mini and are driving / riding something else. From time-to-time I myself have waved to a fellow Mini only to then realize, I'm in my company vehicle. To me, it's just good motoring etiquette. Wave-on fellow Mini Maniacs, Wave-on!

The Mini Wave

I'm new to Mini (08 Clubman S) and have attempted to wave at a number of Mini's passing by. I've never gotten a return wave from the ones I've seen in the DFW (Texas) area, even though the State Motoring Motto is "Drive Friendly." But i still get waves from the farmers in the local communities. Some just stare, because it seems they are not used to seeing anything smaller than a truck.

And if they don't wave way back, wave again.

Y'all need to move a couple of hundred miles northeast, to the Natural State. There a plenty of MINIs here, and most of the drivers wave. I'd say I get about a 70 to 80% wave or flash return, and that doesn't count the ones that might be waving but I can't be sure due to windshield glare!
