Here's a link to a YouTube video showing how to do it (it says it's for '07-'08 cars, but nothing's changed):

I haven't moved mine yet, but I think I'm going to try it. When I'm using my phone over Bluetooth, everyone says it sounds super clear, but the Voice Assist doesn't really listen to me. I'm hoping that moving it over will help with that. And if it doesn't, I can always move it back!
Very nice. I'll look into that. Thanks for the pointer.

The sun visors. They are awful in every sense. I'm constantly adjusting my head position during my morning commute to block the sun. Never had a problem like this in any previous car I've owned.

Zero visibility on my rear window after a few miles on a slushy highway! I have no rear window wiper so I've had to stop every 10 miles or so to clean it off just to see.

lol....just put the top down. May be a little messy but you'll have clear vision out the back.
Or...just learn to use the side view mirrors more.

Bump steer is the worst I've experienced in any car I've driven. Is this a MINI characteristic?

My 350Z is worse. I think it's just the shoe compound. Anyone know of good replacements?

My biggest hangup is the lack of a coolant temperature gauge. I'm shopping for a good one. Nothing stands out yet. Suggestions? Thanks,

I hate my Mini dealer.
I hate the fact that I just want to drive it really really fast - but can't! Got a ticket the first week I owned it - got overturned in court, but have tried to be cautious since then. Doesn't mean I don't drive it fast up to the speed limit though!!

Clutch pedal being too close to the brake pedal and the same height.

Caught myself a few times hitting the cluctch and brake at the same time

EBC redstuff or EBC greenstuff pad. Both are great. They do dust but nothing like stock pad (especially the ones on the Mini's). The one thing I've noticed is what dust that does accumulate washes off very easily.
Plus, I've got gun metal grey rims which helps also but when you're ready try the EBC's.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I love my Mini, I plan on keeping it forever. Since I'm already 63, soon to be 64 that won't be too long.

Still in Love

I'm extremely happy with the JCW. My only complaint is that in the dead of summer the intercooler can't keep up and I notice a drop in power output. But that could be said of any turbo I guess.

i Have the 2011 Countryman, and its soooo big. Why cant they just make a regular MINI with 4 doors so the kids can get in and out?!? I loved the size of my old mini, and this is more like a regular SUV. I just wanted 4 doors and MINI quality and driving experience!

I hate the horrible throttle response. It's annoying when I mash the gas, and I have to wait before the engine responds. It would be nice to be able to tap the throttle and get the engine to rev up a little.....but it's like it's got a 1-2 second delay from what the gas pedal to when the motor responds.

Very annoying....

Get a Sprint Booster. It is a wonderful fix for that. I never turn mine off.

Agreed. Love that.

I hate how the doors open. The first notch isn't enough for me to get out, and the second one is always too much. I'll be in a parking lot next to a car and will always have to make sure the door doesn't hit the other car because the second notch causes it to open too far out.

So much so, that you won't believe such a change can happen so easily. I have an 08 Cooper Non-S Automatic. I wanted one but also felt like you did. I lucked out and found a member here selling one and I grabbed it. 5 minute installation, and my car will actually spin the tires off the line. I have the Sport button in mine and I leave it off now and just run the Sprint Booster. Similar response, but the Sport button would make the car a bit jittery and lock you out of 6th gear. With this, I have a very natural feel. It feels like a huge increase in hp, even though its not. I am trying to get the company to make one for my Cadillac CTS-V. The improvement is awesome.

I've noticed that also so I'm
installing a Forge Step Intercooler next week.
Should help with the heat soak issue.

I have the http://www.scangauge.com/ . Love it. It gives coolant T, Volts,
boost, and other stuff. Plugs right into the OBD. I used velcro to place it
just to the left of the tach (on dash), slightly angled in. Amazon was best
price last summer.
