I've started hating the annoying vibrating sound I get from rolling my windows up in my mini. It doesn't do it all the time, but most of the time. If they are all the way down...as soon as I start to roll them up, one (or both) will start to vibrate, shake, and buzz like crazy as they are coming up. If I stop and start them again, it will usulaly stop.

Just annoying really......

I put 215/45/17 Michelin Exalta PE2's (non-run-flats) on my 2009 factory JCW and the car not only rides better and quieter then the Dunlap runflats that were on it but it corners perfect. They also look much better. They are summer only performance tires and probably won't do you any good if you drive in snow. They are great in the rain and do not hydroplane at all. They are perfect for me because I do live in Florida and don't worry about snow at all.

They are a little taller and fill the wheel well better as well as being wider. I really like them and I do carry "Slime" and a 12 volt pump in the cubby hole in my trunk.

The cover fits back onto the cubby hole.

i have those same tires i love them !! mine 205's ride nice in the rain !!

i do not like when im braking downhill in my 2005 auto mcs. Im driving normal speeds and it forces a downshift every time on downhills. Its not needed for me and feels bad on the transmission.i could see this on the sport mode only. for normal driving i'd prefer my brakes, they are easy to replace, not like tranny work.

I hate that it's only got 52,000 miles and for some reason in the last 1,000 the ride quality absolutely sucks. Everything else everyone mentioned I could "deal" with, but having a car that's ride went from great, to shitty at that low of mileage sucks to deal with. Suppose I need to figure out "what's wrong now". -.-

What exactly is it that sucks now? Maybe you hit a pot hole or something and it threw off the alignment. or one of the shocks has gone out. 52,000 miles isn't necessarily low miles for certain parts on the car that should be checked or changed out. Tires and brakes aren't the only things that need to be changed out. and 52,000 miles on your shocks and suspension aren't "low" miles. Especially on a car that has stiff shocks and suspension to begin with.

I was told the "delay" was in direct correlation to the speed my car was traveling...well my car must never move because the speed of the delay intervals never increases or decreases!
They're not speed sensitive as much as they switch slightly based on two speed factors: moving or not moving. The delay is longer only when the car is not moving (zero mph). On low, they switch to delay when the car is stopped. that's it. But once you understand it, you'll see it. That's my observation.

A little exaggeration by marketing.

but what I would change would be make the back windows vent a bit like a mini van.
+1

Love my Clubman, even the sunroof (I had mine tinted to reduce interior heat).

Wish the back windows opened like a mini vans. Wish there were more protection on the back bumper from (the kids) dragging things out of the back.

Don't like that the rear seat belts get 'lost' every time I put the seats down and back up again.

I don't understand why people hate the run flats, they ride and grip just fine, no different than any other car I've owned.

So, there's nothing I hate about my MINI.

Dave
Dave, the reason so many owners hate the run flats is because they feel like they're made of rocks and they don't last long. Mine wore out so quickly that MINI should let the customers choose the crummy runflats or another brand. Seriously.

I bought some cheapo Sumitomos and they're much better than the run flats. They clearly will outlast them by probably THREE times as long. I never pushed my car over 70 mph and only two or three times accidentally spun the fronts because I was trying to master the art of getting the car moving off the clutch. Still, they didn't last anywhere near even 15,000 miles. Had to get new rubber because the garage refused to even check my car for a new state inspection sticker when they saw the tires. The leading edge going in about one inch was almost totally bald! They looked like they already had 30-35,000 miles on them.

I hate how the car seems to get splattered w/ at least twice as many bugs than any other car I've ever owned.

I hate how the window washer spray nozels almost seem to be aiming more for the passenrger's side than the driver's (not to mention very wealky)

I hate how you just can't get any decent accel out of the base engine off the line in situations when you REALLY need it

I hate how people behind you try and bully you (or at least where I live) like your car isn't even doing the speed limit....even if it's while you're doing 85-90 in the fast lane.

I hate how people pull out in front of you thinking you're somehow going to be slow since your so small (or something)

I just bought my first MINI used, 2007 with 17k miles and the original tires were completely bald on all four tires. I was surprised and a bit worried until I saw everyone posting how they wear out before 20k easily. Lucky for me the dealer replaced them after I complained on the test drive.

My JCW Mini came with Dunlops (205-45-R17). The front ones went quickly (~20K or so) and I put a pair of Continental non-runflats on just the front. Now at 44K the front needs new tires again, but I could probably squeeze another year out of the Dunlops on the rear. I'm just going to put a set of Michelin Pilot Sport AS plus (non-runflats) all around. I'm having trouble getting Costco to do it though. They insist that they won't put non-runflats on the car unless I show them I have a spare. What a pain in the ***! Why should they care whether I have a spare or not? I don't get that at all.

Easy fix

Just go to Discount Tire and get your Michelins. I would not want one of the idiots at Cosco or Sams club messing with my Mini anyway.

+1 To me the iPod interface is worthless, I am better off pluging it into the aux port and just using the iPod controls instead.

I hate how mine will be a year old next month, and the interior parts/sunroof squeak like the car's 8 y/o and abused :(

Please take his words seriously. What if the guys at Costco/Sams don't get the tires on properly. It's worth the effort to have a dedicated tire center do the work. I've tried both Discount Tire and NTB and their customer service is great. Note: it helps to find one if their competitor is next door. The service at both should be good. BTW, if you lack a dedicated jack for rotation, they'll rotate them for you free!
