Haha maybe go to the back of the warehouse and see if there are rejects that they threw out.

I am currently getting a tint job on the mini as I type this. 15% on the back and sunroof.

Then transmission drain / filter service afterwards.....

FIXED: Driver's seat didn't slide back further than memory position

My seat wouldn't slide back any further than my normal driving position. Nothing visible blocking the track. Raised the seat all the way up vertically. Used a hose removal tool (crooked pointy thing) and raised the metal part in the attached picture while holding the seat adjuster bar up and it was able to slide all the way back. Will see how long fix lasts.

I just ordered one. It said "3 sets left". Unfortunately (like a lot of things), it wouldn't ship to Alaska.

So I'm having them sent to my sister in TX then having them sent up to me...unless she decides she wants to keep them for herself and use them in her '06 R53.

Lucy had her maintenance program SPA day today. Oil, Brake System Flush, New Pads on the front brakes, and a micro filter. She just passed 57K miles last week. I also had them rotate the tires but hit a glitch when they found a nail. Good news is I run Faulken non-runflats so the nail is in a sizable location bad news is the dealer did not have a patch kit only plugs. So I will have to run to the tire show tomb to have the nail pulled and patched.

If you have a nail, but aren't loosing air, just leave it. I've driven with nails for thousand of miles, so long as there isn't a slow leak.

Good point. I have not had to add air so if it is leaking it is slooooow. I have to put new tires on this fall since the tread is getting a little low for a WI winter. These have almost 40k on them the original OEM tires just cleared 17k before the wear monster got them.

Not allot of options for the JCW 19's I did some research and found these and they have been great.

We have the same problem being in Hawaii, Amazon Prime member too. Heavy items or big tv's, etc. I could understand not wanting to ship to Hawaii but there's some small shippable automotive items they won't do.

Picked up a 2006 MCS Checkmate

I scored a good deal on a 2006 Checkmate MCS she needed some work but had allot of service history. Over the past week or so I have
changed out the clutch with a single mass kit ( reason why ai got such a good deal
changed out all the brakes
changed inner and outer tie rods
changed transmission fluid
flushed out green antifreeze with right stuff
flushed ps system
changed brake fluid
changed out spark plugs and wireset
installed Bluetooth adapter kit to karmon Hardin factory radio
put two new tires on front and got alignment
had AC serviced due to damn condenser line bolt broke during clutch install
changed the oil

most of this was just my analness and wanting to start off fresh with services. I plan on having all the dents and dings fixed and painted, but that will have to wait. We now have every generation, well new body styles anyways.

When I lived for in Honolulu, Costco was a a huge help.. no Amazon or Trader Joe's, but you've got fresh Poke at every grocery store and plenty of sunshine!

Well, I was going to do my driver side drive shaft today... Sadly, UPS didn't show up w/ my ball joint separator until after we had left for the day yesterday :(.

If I understand correctly, can't you remove the two torx screws/bolts holding the LCA to your hub? And then proceed with popping out the axle?

A lot of people avoid popping the ball joint and just unbolt the two bolts securing the hub to the LCA. That way, you can avoid any downtime. Just make sure you torque those two screws to the proper setting.

Bolts removed and ball joint/LCA drop out of the way.

Yup, just spray some liquid wrench or wd40 on top of the hub and it should drop with a light tap.

Which would be fine.... except I can't replace the outer ball joints without separating them.

It required at least a quarter pint of penetrating oil and an air hammer w/ chisel when I did my struts.
Light tap!! LOLOLOL

^^^This is why I'm replacing my outer ball joints, BTW.

I guess I was lucky. I needed a pickle fork to separate the ball joint from LCA, but to get them off the hub was pretty easy if you use even pressure from the bottom and tap on top. I've heard they can be a PIA though..

If I were you I'd try and buy it back from the insurance company and fix it or track it. A trunk and bumper can't be that much.
