Today I just commuted and he's currently sitting out in the rain...

But thanks to schatzy62 (and minimom for the link below), we spelled stuff with our MINIs this past Sunday.

MINI - spelled with MINIs (and one Mini)

Wish you could have made it, Dave. We were like 7 year olds in that parking lot. The funniest part about the *driving in circles* was that it almost didn't get rolling. We were all in one, big circle and because we were so close, we couldn't get started... unless we all popped the clutch at exactly the same time.

So Eric and couple more of us made the inner circle and that gave the outer circle the room they need to get rolling. The poor girl in the middle - now she was stuck!

Waited for a bud to bring me back my engine hoist...was bored at my storage unit so I slapped the roof rack back on. Also played around with my iPhone's "HDR" function. Got bored later and doctored said photos

PSd

"HDR"

2nd "regular" pic it takes with the "hdr"

Roof rack looks great. Menacing looking MINI btw. With the rack on sorta looks like an Autobahn cruising German Polezei.

I tried to change the oil today, but the drain plug is now fully round instead of partly round. Have to take it to the shop I guess. Fumoto anxiously awaiting installation.

Finished glassing the rear deck. It's now in primer, waiting for black texture paint. Cut the can holder off the roof, started glassing that. I will be installing a LED third brake light in the protrusion on the back of the roof.

Well, yesterday was a day I had waited for for a long time. I was finally able to remove the stock black/white bonnet stripes and replace them with the custom cut all black GT stripes from Cooper Flags Inc. They look so much better than stock, especially since the car has little or no chrome on it at all anymore. I'll post a picture on the gallery soon...

As for today... Well it was another day to open up the UPS delivery. I got my RAD wheel locks I ordered last week. I painted them black to match the BBS wheels and torqued em up... They fit awesome.

More to follow as the few remaining MODS continue to arrive.

I had a Polezei euro plate on my merc for a while

I'm kinda iffy with the rack. Don't like how it mounts...makes me nervous with the windows. Had a bike attachment on it but that rattled and drove me nuts.

Not quite sure if its the rack or the inj cleaner but my fuel Econ dropped like undies on prom night. Real time fuel Econ on my scangauge w/ cruise set at 50mp in 6th on a flat stretch of road (DD work route) dropped like 30mpg. Looks like this weekend will come up with a "recent work" entry

Holy hot mini...I dig the truck conversions

The sounds coming out of Bu's **** now?.........Priceless!!!

Never thought I would be able to pull off an exhaust system that I really like for $320.00 Best of all, it doesn't sound like a fart can Honda.

Today it just sat in the garage. I did dust it off. Busy weekend though, and it will get driven.

This is great stuff. Wonder if it would be worth while to start your own restoration thread on this project vehicle ?

Saw this lower deck rear spoiler M7 has on their web site. What do ya think ?

For the third brake light, what about the one the convertibles have. It's part of the rear chrome belt line.

Finished glassing the roof. All that is left is some paint, a few trim pieces, third brake light in roof and have fun. Thought you might like to see what it looks like outside...
