Plasti dipped the chrome around the headlights, the chrome in the grille, the hood scoop and the little piece over the license plate and lights on the back hatch.

Used kiwi shoe scuff on all my wheel arches and roof trim, also front grill. Nice and black now!

Also finished my fire extinguisher bracket (can be found in a separate post)

Huh - never thought of that! I'm in the military; I've got to have at least a 1/2 dozen cans laying around. Gonna give it a try!

(And thanks!)

Ya. That kiwi trick is cool. Stuff looks way more black than using the other blackening car products, and it's only $3 a bottle! So it's way cheaper too. Hoping it will last longer also... The fl sun and rain just washes that other crap off ina couple of weeks.

Bottle? You used the liquid stuff? I was thinking the paste! The liquid is some powerful stuff! How much of a PITA was it getting on? Any issues dripping the stuff on paint?

Be sure you get the leather dye, not the polish. The bottle has a foam applicator so it's not too messy.

washed then test detailed a 16" x 16" section of my hood with clay, prima swirl/finish/amigo with the pc 7424xp, and the wax.

overall good experience, pictures to come once I've done the whole car (need to order a few more pads before continuing)

After some difficulty getting the old one off, added a ATI 2% crank pulley.
Then got bored and decided to change things up inside a bit. Everything white is new or shall I say freshly painted. Very happy with it!

I thought I would be installing a new cravenspeed dip stick today. Got an email confirmation that it was delivered while I was at work. But got home to find an empty envelope. And I didnt type that wrong, not a box but a flat envelope, that was torn and empty.

So ultimately i spent the time I would have installing, finding the support contact information and emailing them pictures of my torn, empty flat envelope.

did some maintenance and reset my ecu. So fricken happy. plugs, oil change, intake/filter (alta).

bought the car and it got 28-29mpg mixed.

I then checked the plugs to find out the coilpack's prongs 3 & 4 were severely rusted. I cleaned them up and installed brand new NGK iridiums 1 step colder plugs.

Then my MPG sank to 24.6mpg

I reset the ECU. and BAM I get this!!! woo

added a fun accessory to the glovebox; air sickness bag

also realized that driving w/DSC and DCT both off = even better throttle response!

Hardest part was finding how to access the bulbs in the first place!! I opened the hood, then opened the little watertight hatch that houses the headlights, but couldn't figure out how to get to the turn signal bulbs.

After being thoroughly confused for a few minutes, I had an epiphany to actually RTFM! There are hatches in the front wheel wells that allow access. Open the hatch, then open another watertight hatch inside that. Reach in, feel around for the socket, and a half-turn later, it's out. No wire harnesses to fiddle with, so that was nice. Do the opposite to re-install. Once I figured out what to do, it was about 5 minutes start to finish.

I did it myself. The boot wasn't too hard. The bottom of the boot was tricky with the bend and contour of the hatch. The bonnet was scary. That took some work. Lining it up and smoothing it out took a few attempts.
