I'm in Wellington and curious which local tire store?

Just got the Mini one, nothing fancy. I think reception may even be better than with the original.

10Zero, that sticker is GENIUS, I love it!

And mine sits, collecting dust, just waiting for me to start some work. Just when I get all the parts on the car it breaks and has to sit... Typical, I have NO LUCK!
Any whoo, I'm kinda liking the 97 Jeep CHEROKEE I picked up as a daily driver, it does everything the MINI can't, is decent on gas, and has more than enough room to sleep in if I need to.

I had the Safelite windshield repair man fix the rock chip........from my last 3 state trip.

They use this machine that pumps a super glue into the crack and now you can't see
the crack ! Just a tiny dot.

Even better, the insurance paid for the repair ! Most insurance companies will pay for this so give it a try if you get zapped.

I really did not want to have the windshield replaced cause it would not be cheap $$$

Why? small cracks don't mean you must replace a windshield. It's not like patching a load bearing tire.

Just installed JCW Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps & Hood Scoop. More JCW CF pieces on the way. I also got the wing which is currently @ the body shop getting painted. The base of it that is. Here's a pic I took today after a massive downpour. I also got a stubby antenna today from my Mini dealer.

And with it inside, it's not exposed to the elements so taking care of it is super simple. And when you think about it, when you're dusting someone, where's the first place you look? right...

Up here, I'll be happy if a windshield lasts for more than one season with the rocks they like to throw on the road during winter... I'm on windshield #4, and Seamus will be 6 come November.

I have just learned to live with windshield cracks and pits. When I bought my R53 I was working at a car dealership on I-70/I-76 AKA "Rock chip alley" and had my windshield TRASHED within a month! It took one hellOFa drag launch right after the Sprintex SC install to finally get it to crack, but if you use your car rock chips are a comon reality. Chips can be filled reliably, but in my area whats the point? It's just going to get another one in a couple days.

The last time I actually bought a windshield was when I jamed a tree branch through the Samurai's windshield right in front of my face. I only replaced it because I would get people saying "Who shot at you" and " What did you do to **** someone else now!" plus I got pretty wet having a 1/2" hole in front of my face.

still on my original windshield but... my mini will deserve a new one during winter ( will sit in the heated garage ) ... 3 cracks and maybe 10 chips.... love redneck mega jacked trucks who goes on the gravel roads and shoot the rocks on you... on the mini's 45 degrees angle windshield.. anyway... its kind of sandblasted now after 6 years....

I was adjusting the Platypus License Plate Mount and as i was loosening the bolt the thing swung around and scratched my bumper. (the back of one of the screws for the plate made contact to the bumper) Yup went through the clear coat. NOOOOO.
I suck. Lesson learned: always mask off the surrounding areas even if it is a minor job like loosening a screw.

After much thoughtful deliberation, considering all of the performance modifications available for the serious MINI motoring enthusiast, I landed on the option that was simply the most sensible of all... a hula girl bobble.

Added an exhaust systems that has a end pipe the size of Texas. The old exhaust was starting to rust badly from a couple of ugly winters. The system adds no extra power as I have no other mods and can take advantage of the extra flow, but the sound is great! Always wanted one but spent the money on wheels, very soft rubber and autocrossing (HS). The exhaust system is by Magnaflo (sp?). I drove his MC (with the exhaust) at an event so I knew what I was getting. I am very happy. Thanks Marshall.
