No Gas in Nashville
No Gas in Nashville
I'm glad I drive a MINI. We don't have any gas in Nashville. And if a station does people are lined up for 1/2 mile wanting to fill there SUV's. Anyone else in other cities have the same problem?
It has to do with Hurricane Ike, interruption of fuel delivery and panic buying here. Here's the local news:

This is just in Middle TN. In fact, there's fuel in Memphis, Chattanooga & Knoxville- just not here.
Until my Clubbie gets here, I'm sticking close to home, LOL...

No gas in Tallahassee for about a week now. Our shortages were also a result of panic buying. We're starting to get regular again, but I've yet to see premium. I'm down to just under half a tank, and hoping it doesn't take much longer to get premium!
No problems here along the Central California coast. In fact, I was stoked that at my last fill-up, the price for premium had finally dropped back to $4/gallon.
Then the very next day (Thursday), I saw premium for $3.80 and wished I'd waited a day.

I live in Brentwood. I bought gas last week. I'm good to go for another. It's been crazy here, though. That gas station listed where people spent 45 mins for gas was just a couple miles up the road. I saw a tanker fill up Costco last night and they're out of gas again today.
You all have to know something about Middle Tennessee though. If the weather report says we might get snow, the milk and bread disappear from all the local grocery stores. I think most of those around us have panicky tendencies hard wired into them.

BTW have you noticed that during bad weather reports, the beer shelves go dry too. Hmmmm...
It started early in the week in Nashville. Started seeing stations out of regular on Monday and just got worse throughout the week. The lines for the stations with gas were causing traffic jams and even saw police directing traffic at a few downtown on Friday. Those that have it are charging more for it. Those getting deliveries are usually out by the next day.
I passed ten stations this evening on the way back to the house in Mt. Juliet... All were bone dry of all flavors.

Does anyone know what the situation is along I-10 in FL between Tallahassee and Jacksonville? I have to start driving to Newport on Wednesday and there's still no premium around here. I don't want to put more 87 in my car, but I also don't want to run out of gas.
