Cooperation,
Thanks for the Alonso points rundown, I was going to do that this morning. I will be watching Sunday with my Renault hat, shirt and flag (as cape) on. Viva Alonso!

As much as I love Renault as a team and love both their drivers, I wouldn't be so quick as to write off Michael. Next year with the V8 and rules changes...it will be all up for grabs again!

However, that said...yahoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now come on Renault...give this girl the Constructors Championship too...ok????!!!!!!!!

Congrat Alonso

Good speed and great reliability throughout the season

Now I want to see him go all out for the manufacturer's championship. I am probably wrong, but it seemed like he drove just enough to win the driver's championship.

I want to see Kimi vs Montoya vs Alonso I want to see all out war

Montoya vs Kimi is going to be great next year assuming no reliability issues or tennis injuries

As for Schuey, maybe next year :impatient

Hey all,

F1 World Championship for Manufacturers is still in play. This week-end is the Japanese GP. Kimi already has an engine change, so it'll be his position +10 after qualifying tomorrow.

well, if McLaren loses the Constructor's Trophey, it's because they deserved to. if they win it, it's because Kimi and JPM are amazing drivers.

We've been very lucky, and have had Fernando Alonso autograph one shirt, three Renault F1 caps, one program and one photograph over the last three years at Indy. I've found him to be one of the most polite and accessible drivers. 'course being a Spanish speaker helps too!

He'll make a great champion.

I second that

It would be even better if the race is wet too

Can't wait to see Renault and McLaren fight it out from the back of the grid

I do want Button to finally win for Honda in Japan no less God forbid, maybe Sato can pull off a victory before being booted out

Could Christian Klien possibly win? Red Bull - Cosworth, YEAH!!!

Quote from JPM following qualifying:"There is nothing to say really – the weather decided it all today. It is a nightmare as both Kimi and myself suffered despite finishing one-two in the last race, and it's important that we are at the front to fight for the Constructors' Championship. The team told me not to finish my qualifying lap as there would be more benefits from a strategic point of view by saving fuel. At least Alonso is at the back as well, but the situation from a Constructors' Championship point of view is far from ideal. However I'm sure we can finish in the points tomorrow, which is what we must aim for and I have started from 20th before and finished second."

While I feel the great race was a little artificial with the weather during quali, this was probably the best race of the year

All of the top guys racing and passing (all passing Schuey )

Kimi is a god in that McLaren

If we had regular quali like a decade ago, I think Kimi or Montoya would have almost all of the poles and won the constructors for sure.

We would be talking about McLaren dominance like Ferrari
