Cant get my 2012 JCW to stop pinging

Love the car to death but just cant seem to get it to stop knocking, and really badly, 3 out of 10 times when I really put my foot in it. Walnut blasting was done, fuel pump is new, I run good gas (91 only) and I have even thrown a bit of that redline fuel system snake oil at it. No luck.

Thoughts?

Try adding octane booster or higher test gas. We can get 95-97 here and I've never had problems

Just rolled over 40k.

Latest update: had the shop foreman at the local dealer come with me for a drive. His eyes went real wide when I demonstrated the issue "yeah, we dont need to go further, this is a real problem that needs to be addressed"

And you wont believe it....................new engine is on its way!!!!

They had already tried fuel pump, injectors, de-carbon blasting etc

Yeah what caused this?
Get MINI to find out and report back to you.
