There was a special constructed Mini by Fireballed Tim in CA.
It was based on a MCS with the SC removed and a Garrett GT3071R turbocharger installed. I believe Mini Corsa helped in the mods.
Mini was so impressed that they held press confrence to announce that they were going to offer a limited edition version of it. Never heard anything more about it. There was a very nice write up on the car in one of the car magazines. Went like a bat in the 1/4 mile.

 

Weird... it's a 2011 with the black Xenons... it's got some pin striping on the side... it has the JCW body kit minus the back bumper... and somehow it's "used" with only 50 miles on it. The 21st photo says it does have "the widow maker package" .... and it also looks like the sticker says it's $55k.

Needless to say I just sent them an email asking what it really is.

 

This is a turbo R56 though.

 

I can tell you why it’s called the widow maker...

My wife would kill me for spending 55K on a JCW with wheels and a red trimmed steering wheel.

Last Aug the car was for sale on EBay. Mike Mynes crew worked on the car and due to the addition of the Turbo and SC delete it was continually pulling a code which made it impossible to license in my state. I don't know if it eventually sold, I lost track of it after I couldn't get it to pass our state's rqmts. Needless to say my wife was pleased!! Advertised at over 500whp.

ok 2 things...the vin doesnt come up with anything on the Fl DMV site says not valid? maybe its is only for register vehicals? and I tried to build a 2011 mini with every option they offered and only 42000! Im calling bs unless you go buy it!

 

and where do they do the math? MSRP $37,600+ Installed options $2,495 =$40,095 not $55,085? one hell of a dealer fee!

 

Way over priced. And a 2011 with black HIDs makes me thing there was a swap done becasue a JCW can't be configured with black headlights I thought.

 

Orange crush. I'm not aware of one in auto trader. The one I'm referring to is a R53. I'll ck out Autotrader to see if that's it.

There are a few guys on that coast to check it out. Plus the price is now $44,999...what a steal they already knocked 11k off of it.
