does the WC50 have "red stitching" on the (us spec non-jcw) steering wheel?

No it has the JCW alcantara wheel. It's really nice and thick. One of my favorite parts of the interior

I believe the red stitching was introduced on the JCW for model year 2011.

Agree with grh1950, the thick JCW accessory steering wheel is nice, very similar to the BMW ///M wheel.

I drove another JCW with the full leather JCW steering wheel today, and that was perfect. May consider swapping out the leather/alcantara wheel on the WC50 for one of those at some point.

Looking good Will

FYI - I've updated the WC50 Owners Group Geomap with 4 or 5 additional cars recently, and will try to keep it maintained.

I've moved from Germantown, MD to Arlington, VA... Thanks for the work JackMac!

Anyone know a good detailer that can give my paint a good going over? (Washington area)

Road Trip #1/Tint

Now I am thinking I need to tint my windows.....dang more money into the MINI...its like owning a boat....lol....Definitely post some pics when you get a chance JackMac - would like to see what it looks like. I am originally from Jersey Shore, Pa BTW. Makes us almost like distant Pennsyltuckie cousins.

Took 437 our for its first road trip yesterday. CA highway 130 from San Jose to Livermore, CA. Initially a good 4000 feet of elevation gain to the summit of Mt Hamilton on a two lane switch backed road. Lots of curves with many short straight stretches. The car was awesome - sticky - I had a Subaru WRX in 2003 and this is comparable in handling with lots less turbo lag. Got a scowl from a County Sheriff that was doing traffic control near the summit for a disable vehicle. I am sure she heard me coming up the switchbacks for miles, surprised she didn't get her radar gun out and try to nab me.

Attached is a pic from the summit, after that took the rest of 130, which turns into San Antonio road to Livermore and stopped in the middle at "The Junction" for a pulled pork lunch. Interesting roadhouse - eclectic mix of car people, bikers, ranchers, and bicyclers in the same bar. Great ride - really am enjoying the car.

On September 10th, a few WC50 owners got together and participated in a rally in the Lehigh Valley area of PA.

The weather cooperated, and we had a blast through the backroads around Allentown with about 60 other MINI's and the PhillyMINI club

First time these cars were back together since leaving Plant Oxford.

Have anyone see any WC50 for sale lately? I want to get a feel of how much value these WC50 holds compare to the regular JCW as I am deciding if I want to sell mines with 8K miles. Thanks.

What would you give for the one here with 8500 miles on it?
http://www.blcoc.net/wp-content/uplo...331_150806.jpg

It comes with the factory wheels with Blizzaks on them. I've added rear fog lights, JCW suspension (still have factory suspension), JCW spoiler shown in pic painted pepper white, and blacked out beltline.

I see some 2010 JCWs going for 25k+. I don't know for a WC50. What would you ask for it? How far are you from Champaign? My brother in law from there could help me out.

Keep in mind that the base price of the WC50 was $10K above the standard JCW in 2010, and included several unique items which were not available on other MINIs.

I've seen 3 pre-owned WC50's listed for sale in the past 10 months. All were priced in the mid-to-upper 30's. Links to those listings were posted in this thread.

Thought I'd share a couple of pictures with you.

After owning the 50 for 2 weeks, I decided to get it run in with a 1660 Mile trip to the Nurburgring in Germany. - A couple of my mates followed.

I wouldn't take under $37,000 with the extra wheels.
