He covered all the inside panels with a dampening material. It's what you do for a great system, really dampens down exterior noise and rattling

Hi Everyone!
I'm new to the Mini world. Last week I became the owner of #440.
I'm located in Columbus, OH and I use it as my daily driver. The car has 21k miles and is in great condition. I love it.
Everything on the Mini is new to me, so I have some questions. Hopefully you guys can guide me a little.
The first thing is the John Cooper signature on the bonnet stripe. I'm aware the stripes don't last forever and eventually, they will need to be replaced. Does anybody know if Mini can provide the bonnet stripes with the signature again or are those no longer made and I'll need to replace them with the plain stripes.
Question #2: For some strange reason my car doesn't have the John Cooper signature is on the carbon fiber dash. It is just the plain carbon fiber.
Does anybody know if all 50WC's come with it or only some of them? Also does anyone know if Mini sells the part with the signature?
Last thing. What are the original tires that the car came with?

I wanted to let you know a little history about the car... The tow hook cover was missing because we had a no holes plate bracket installed, the rubber mats were added by us as we purchased the car during stormy months and we felt they were necessary. The XM receiver was installed by my wife with her own two hands! I'm very proud of her and how clean the install was! The cable above hanging by the mirrors is indeed the power source for a Valentine 1 radar detector. The factory tires were runflats and we removed them for non runflats before they were half way worn. Many Mini owners do this as it helps the ride and the car drives much better without them.
I hope that sheds some light on the history of the car! If you have any questions feel free to ask! I hope you enjoy it as much as we did! If you ever consider selling it, my wife would love to buy it back. She traded it in on a BMW E90 M3 but really missed her WC50 so we purchased her a new MCS with a JCW aero kit last week to add to her M3.
Hi TheEggO! I just wanted to post on here and let you know that my wife was the PO of your WC50 #440, before my wife owned it my brother bought it brand new from Mini of Dallas.

Wow this is great! Thanks for reaching out to me!
I got the car from Moritz and they didn't know anything about it. They only knew it was a JCW, but had no idea what the 50 WC stood for.
I bought the car remotely, had it shipped to me here in Columbus and was hoping it was in a good condition. I was so happy when it arrived and discovered that the car was in excellent shape. Your wife took good care of this vehicle! Let me know if she's interested in selling another car in a couple of years!
I do have some more questions (hope you don't mind):
According to the service records from Mini, the car had only 1 oil change at 18k. Is that accurate? Do you remember doing any oil changes before that?
The breaks squeak when stopping in reverse (they don't squeak any other time). I took to Mini twice and they said it's normal. Did this happen to you?
There was a recall for the the auxiliary water pump. Did you take that in to get changed? I asked the guy at Mini and he said that the car had it change, but I didn't see it in the records? I just want to make sure.
I could be wrong, but did the car come with a certificate or any special paperwork, about it being a 50WC. If so? Do you still have it? I would love to have it and would even buy it off you.
One last thing, did you have any other problems with the car? Any other things you can think of?
I love the car and it's exactly what I wanted!
Please tell your wife that I will take good care of it and haven't changed anything on it (I don't plan to either).
Thank You!
PS: I got the car detailed by Todd Cooperider. He is the top detailer here in town and after he did the job, he told me that one of his good "detail" buddy's, detailed #440 in Dallas. It's a small world!
Hi EggO,
I'll throw a quick reply in for one of your questions, but first thanks for the photos of the dash badge/part number that you posted - I picked my replacement badge up last weekend - now my 50 is complete again. The backing up brake drag is normal (I had the same problem/question). I only drive my car once a week and discovered that if I don't use the e-brake when I park it, and blow the residual water off the discs after I wash it I don't have the problem (or it is very minimal if I do). ~Will~

Hello fellow MINI owners.
Let me introduce myself. I am Classic_look from the Philippines and I am fortunate enough to own WC50 #280.
I'd like to think that this car came to me by fate for i am a big fan of MINI's starting from the Austin's, Rover's classic Mini's. To be honest I never really like the BMW MINIS but at that time, I was shopping around for a car and stumbled upon #280 in the MINI show room and immediately fell in love with it.
Her Connought Green is what got me (the real British Racing Green color tone) to fantasize about her for a week and the next Saturday she was mine.
So there...that's how we ended up together.

P.S. I named my WC50 "Ms. Hyde" because she brings out the aggressive driver in me. :D
Cheers!

What was the total cost with paint?
That looks killer. Is it possible for me to order the Cooper Signature Bonnet stripes if I don't own a WC50?
