Congrats on #426!

Sorry you missed it RMCR9. The previous owner posted about the car for sale in this thread when he traded it in (scroll back a few pages). Check with smask, he was considering to sell his car.

someone on the forums wants to swap their recaro alcantara seats (a $2275 upgrade when you order the car) w/ our leather lounge seats. is it a good trade?

Saw that thread this morning too. It is a good value, yes, but may hurt the value of your WC50.

These extremely limited edition cars will retain more value (IMHO) if kept original. Not really the best foundation for modding, especially since you cant swap back later (he wants your Championship Lounge Leather seats in trade).

Hi Stig,

The cars were all initially painted midnight black (WA24) at the factory, and then were subsequently hand sprayed green (AS0955 or GN19). They seem to be loaded in Mini's system as still being black, but my dealer was able to update the info in their system. I would assume the connaught paint would be more expensive than the black, which makes me wonder if there will be any issues with insurance claims in the event of an accident. I can just see the insurer insisting that before the accident my car was black...lol

The hardest part is trying to get the car painted back to match. Unfortunately mine has been painted twice now. Without the color being loaded into any database it too custom matching. It was three tries to get a match.

Ah, the price we pay for such a great color!

On a related note, the WC50 came with TWO different window stickers.

1) The "black" car, as it was originally produced on the assembly line
2) The "green" car, after all of the WC50 content was hand built and added

stig - post up pics of those Recaros! I still owe you a group map update.

Do these seats lower your ride height?
Let me try to explain.
Do they allow you to be seated lower in the car?
Because the original ones are pretty high up.

to me there is a negligible difference. the only major difference i noticed was that the seat bottom comes out further to give your thighs more support. also the headrests are fixed which is something i actually prefer coming from a WRX

Looks like #402 might be for sale. It is listed here on AutoTrader.

Paint code GN18???

I have been trying to order some touchup paint to tend to a couple stone chips. The color code GN18 does not show up in the paint suppliers directory. Those that have had body work done or painted hoods, fenders, or such - do you know how they matched the paint? Is there a mix formula that has been found or determined?
Thanks.
