My JCW is still at the port but went to the dealer and saw and test drove their unsold JCW which just arrived! I definitely got the right car!!! It had the sport suspension. Much less of a hard ride than my S4 avant. Really liked the checkerboard over the glove box. Nice touch. Will probably get my car in a week.

Just in from 5 hours motoring in this and wifey and I have the biggest sh%$ eating grins you've ever seen. This thing is a little BEAST! The power just comes in waves, I looked down at the speedo at one stage and was doing 11.....erm...I was going really fast, and I was only hitting 3000 RPM's! Way too tired for a full review but until then here's a few pics that I promised, better pics to come soon. What a day!!

That's right! Wifey and I were talking about this earlier and decided to name the car 'John'.

Congrats to all who have gotten thier babies. Everyone at my dealership tells me mine is beautiful. After hearing everyone talk about how much fun they are having, this is killing me.

I asked my MA to take some photos and send them to my phone which I hope he does today. My docs should be to me today and I will send them back overnighted which will make her officially mine, but it looks like I won't be able to pick her up til the end of the month.

I am so bummed right now, but trying to live vicariously thru each of you.

Has anyone heard more about a JCW convertible? I heard the speculation or rumors on the Convertible threads. And after looking at the mileage page someone posted here talking about a JCW convertible, it makes me wonder if I should have waited.

MOZZA,
Car looks GREAT...same color I am leaning towards! In your signature it says painted JCW kit and arches, but they don't look painted in the pics, are you getting them done after?
Either way AB is HOT!!!!

So when exactly are you getting yours then (and did you really need to go back to work to keep your job like they had threatened you with?!)

did you consider another about $700 to have someone like DAS deliver it to you?

And Great to see Mozza, after following your story too here & in other threads.

Mozza, looks sharp. Nice pictures, waiting for more when you get some time away from driving.

Do you have it at break-in miles yet?

Hi FdngFrnzy!

This is Mozza's other half (some say the better, but I disagree )

I figured I'd answer your question about the wheel arches on his behalf since he hasn't been out of the car for more than about an hour all day today. He'll give you more details later if you like, but as for now, we had all the parts already painted and shipped to us which we'll be installing this Sunday. We'll definitely have some photos to share with you then!

And yes, I totally agree with you that AB is hot...looks amazing in twilight on a clear summer's evening.

I stopped by my dealer today to pick up my perm plates. They just got the 09 JCW Demo. They let me take it for a spin.

man oh man does that car pull all the way through. The exhaust sounds perfect for the car. I can definitely tell the difference with the clutch.

Dont get me wrong, i love my new MCS with JCW stage I kit installed, but you folks that ordered did NOT GO WRONG!!

that car is $$

Picked up my baby! It is an AWESOME car. It has power on demand, smooth delivery and it does snap you back. I didn't push it too hard as it's still breaking in. It did get a few stares when I had to stop at a rest area but maybe because it was so shiny and new.

It really is a driver's car. Electronics worked pretty well. I was able to sync my Palm Treo just fine.

I did have to drive through a rain storm on the way home. The auto wipers were pretty cool, they switched on without me prompting, I thought to myself, "...now when did I turn the wipers on?" then I realized the auto wipers They seemed to have fixed the fan and temperature controls as they are now true wheel switches and NOT push buttons that LOOK like wheel switches.

Interior is beautiful. Nice fit and finish.

I'm so glad I didn't pass on this car. It does a lot of stuff really well. It's very fun to drive, economical and powerful to boot. This will keep me very busy for a while.

I'll post pics as soon as I find out where I put the digi cam software...so I can load it onto my new laptop.

BTW, I'm not hearing a lot of burbling. Are you guys hearing this?! The exhaust note sounds great when you get on it but on downshift, I'm not hearing any burble/pop....did they "fix" this? I really wanted to hear it. :(

Great looking car Mozza... I'm hyped to see more pictures as my baby is also AB/AB with the JCW Aero Kit. For some reason he missed the boat and I won't have him for another two weeks... I'm hating it. Will live vicariously through you until then it would seem. Cheers!

GMann, thanks! They came very, very close to our rate so we financed with them. I didn't even have to try your suggestion.
