Bought it the weekend before Memorial day. My dealer here in Charlotte only had 1 clubman and 4 jcw MINI's alloted to them. They have now sold them all. Feel luck to have gotten in when I did. Went in looking at a Clubman, came out with a factory JCW. Sweet....

Now when's that SUV go on sale?
Put it on sale now brother. I ordered my car at the end of April with a delivery date next week...I still have the Tahoe. Just couldn't get her sold.

Bought my car at Hendrick Mini in Charleston. How is the service in Charlotte?

"Congrats although I wonder how you can "push up" production of a plant that is running around the clock to meet demand."

It is my understang from my Motoring Advisor that every dealer has an allotment of cars in their group and a date when they will be built. My understanding is when an alloted car becomes a sold P-1 car the vehicle can be pushed ahead in the schedule. It also my understanding this is how Mini is trying to help get more cars on dealer lots for them to sell. My dealership has 85% of their incoming allotment sold.

My JCW Factory Clubman has now went to the shipping phase. It was started on July 7th. Not bad I guess. Does anyone know how long it takes to make the trip across the ocean?

Look forward to more photos and how does that exhaust sound?

There's a sound clip of the exhaust on motoringfile.com. Apart from that nobody knows cause the car doesn't come out till next week. MINIbah's car is a Cooper S with a JCW tuning kit not a JCW. Great looking car by the way MINIbah, love the colour combo.

It is my understanding the 14th or 15th of July is the first date the cars will be available at the dealerships. Yours just might be ready for delivery that day.

My MINI was changed from in production to ready for shipping.

The Charlotte dealership has been nothing but professional. I got lucky as I went in before Memorial day and there was light traffic. I have returned to the dealership since and there has always been alot of traffic.

My Motoring Advisor has hooked me up with some photos from the motoring event in Miami a few weeks ago where they had a few factory JCW's. Promotional photo's just never really tell what it exactly might look like. Wish there were photos from the factory.

Does anyone know if the cars leave one production line and go to a different assembly area for the JCW modifications?

Still waiting for my VIN to be in the "network" so I can finalize financing and Insurance.

Congrats,
She looks sweet. Can you get us some shots of the engine, interior and exhaust? Is there anything you can tell us about her? Sorry, I thought that this was a factory JCW... nevermind.

It's beautiful nevertheless.

OK, I was at the Miami MTTS and got to see a JCW Clubman opened up and everyone was able to crawl thru her.

There was a MCS JCW that during the non mini owners test drive some yahoos almost wrecked, so they took it out of rotation. I showed the factory rep people from Germany my VIN# and they let me look in the car, but no test drive.

Now I see on MF that they are talking about allowing people to drive it again. Pissed me off cause the only reason I went and paid for this event was the chance to get a drive in one.

MTTS was a joke, maybe because it was the first one and they were getting the kinks out. Hopefully they work out the details and the others will be better, but none of the suppliers/vendors had much to sell. I went with a fist full of cash and came home with same. I even had to wait 2 weeks for them to mail me my MTTS Grill Badge because they did not come in on time.

My baby has been sitting at the VDC in Georgia for almost 2 weeks, sure she was getting her aero kit put on, but I am like a father to be whose wife's water has broken but still no labor or delivery. It is killing me. I flew back from Vegas so that I could pick her up on the 14th and leave to drive back to Nevada on the 15th with my car. I have to be back there by the 18th.

Let's hope your dealer is close to the VDC and you don't plan on having many if any accessories installed by your dealer because according to my MA's source at the NY VDC nobody's JCW is leaving their respective VDC's till July 14th.

Went by the dealership today and they were under the impression that the car was being shipped this weekend and it would be available for me to take delivery on Monday. They were going to call some people and let me know exact info tomorrow when I bring my 06 in for the appraisal as to what they found out. Will keep everyone informed as to what I find out.

Per my MA, my 2009 JCW is scheduled for release on Saturday 7/12. It will be the only 09 JCW in the shipment of 14 cars. It's over 1300 miles so it won't get here (Minneapolis area) until 7/14 at best. I'm not having anything done at the dealer, so I hope to get it from the dealer Wednesday or Thursday.

I signed my sales order today for a Chili Red JCW. Week 32 production. I'm really looking forward to getting it. If the timing works out, I'll take delivery, get it ClearBra'd and tinted, and head straight out on a road trip to Road Atlanta for the ALMS Petit Le Mans.

The wait will be painful...

I called my MA yesterday (Wed) she called me back today (Thu) and she looked it up on the computer. It bugs me she isn't more proactive, but she will call back. Perhaps this time next week I'll be in my JCW

Great Photos!!!

My son and I are hoping to get to RA for the PL as well. Having the M3 will make your wait easier than most. I'm driving an Excursion.

Glad you like the photos. I have lots of fun taking them.

Having the M3 won't be as great as you think. It's a lease that ends Nov. 1 and I'm almost at the end of my allowed miles. We'll be taking my wife's 330ci to Road America next month (yup, going there too). That's OK except it has a slushy.

If you haven't been to PLM before you will love it. It's our favorite event. I'm hoping Rahal-Letterman debuts the new M3 GTR at that race.

Are any @ any dealerships yet; wondering have any passed/cleared the '09 EPA certification? My MA was echo'ing what everyone had been saying, that the 14th would be the earliest they are released, but further stressed that she was very skeptical that any would be released that day, as there didn't appear to be progress on the EPA front.

...sorry... mine's landing the 14th too, so I'm right there w/everyone if there's any truth to it.

OK, here is the scoop I got today from my Sales Manager who spoke to the VDC and the MiniUsa Rep in Jersey. The VDC's have been told that they are not to remove the blocks off the cars until the 14th and then they will be loaded onto the trucks for shipment to your dealers. Very few of us will have the opportunity to see or touch our cars on the 14th.

My MA also told me that my car would be leaving the VDC on the 14th. I wouldn't be able to pick up until that evening or Tuesday.

Sorry, my previous post is two days early. I'm thinking Sat. is the day they release the cars, silly me . I've been working nonstop all day at the computer and my brain is fried.

Yep so it looks like MA had it spot on. I actually called the VDC today to find out what was going on and I got a nice old lady who told me mine was being released on Monday morning. I asked if it would reach the dealer on Monday and her response was, "well it's (my dealer) only an hour away from here." So I'm expecting to take delivery Monday evening!!

Hey Mark, this is going to be the longest weekend of my life. I honestly can't remember the last time I've been this excited about anything.
