Mind me asking what they quoted you? Prices are ridiculous here in NYC.

ISomewhere around 380/6 months (62 bucks/month). It was $60 less per year than my Tahoe.

Okay, who's got a status on their JCW?!

I won't be able to pick mine up on Monday so I'll need to wait until the weekend following the 14th. :(

On the bright side, I'll have my Ducati back together again (from the 12k mile service) so I'll be a very happy camper.

OH MY GOSH...I JUST HEARD THAT MINI USA IS DELAYING THE JCW INTRO BY 4 WEEKS INTO AUGUST. WHAT IS THE DEAL? I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS. CALL MINI USA AND EXPRESS YOUR DISSATISFACTION.

I second the hope that this is a joke... Seems strange as my car is already built and either sitting at the port or in transit. What would be gained by delaying the release of the car now? Not as if the world is waiting, just a small number of MC enthusiasts.

Very true, although I can't help being paranoid that a delay would explain the fact that none of the insurance companies have the car in their systems yet. You're yanking our chains right Flaco?

I question the credibility. One would think MotoringFile would have a line on that is it were true... You're really putting your neck out there flaco.

I agree in regards to the steering wheel. The alcantara steering wheel is made of really bad quality material. It got all fuzzy textured in less than 5 months and I barely drive the car and don't even do auto cross events!!
I replaced mine to full leather and its the smart choice as it still looks and feels like new.

He was just joking chill out. He's actually the owner of a sweet looking Stage 1 JCW himself and hooked me up with some cool carbon fiber parts for well below retail. He was only playing with us he's nearly as excited as we are to see this thing himself I think.

Mozza,

I see in your sig you have ione on order with the JCW Aero kit and painted arches. Did I miss something on the configurator? I know the non-jcw has body color arches, but the JCW 's were still black.

How did you option that? Did I miss something? How much does it cost?

Thanks

Hey Bruce you'll be glad to know the solution to the arch and plastic trim painting is actually in Florida. Pete at www.minspeed.net sells sets of painted arches for $400 a set, he sends them to you and you send him the unpainted ones you take off your car. He'll also do all the other pieces of plastic trim on the JCW aero like the lips and bottom of the side skirts for an extra $450, same deal he buys a JCW aero, paints the plastic pieces, sends them to you and you send him back the pieces you take off your car. $850 for a totally colour coded car.

I am, Northport area... and gotta place in NYC too. I've been there more lately commuting to the NJ office now that I was asked to join a group where most members are in the Piscataway office. The stepped-up trips to NYC & NJ served as the main impetus for me getting the Mini. I didn't want to put all the miles on this, @ about double the fuel usage.

Northport is nice, i have a friend in the King's Park area and they have a gorgeous little beach there which I intend spending a lot of time on once we have the car!
