No longer at SEA, ...and tomorrow I will take delivery!

Well, my MINI has been here stateside since the 7th of May, but I have just been really busy with work...

However, tomorrow I will be heading in to my dealers to pick up my new baby: A 2017 MINI Coopers S Clubman ALL4 ordered 4/02/2017....

Here are a couple of pics, of how I built it, that my dealer took of it...

It's a thing of beauty. The more I see the Clubman, the more I consider getting one in a few years.

Thanks. Looking forward to it, and it's my first MINI. Won't be able to sleep well tonight

Thank you. This is my first MINI. I have had many vehicles over my life and my family has always been use to me (actually deadened) to me always bringing home something different.

Well this MINI is definitely different!!! All of my family absolutely love it, and one of the first things when they open it is, "oh wow you have blue leather seats!" Everyone absolutely loves it.

Still getting use to it, but LOVE it! Some of my favorites are the 8 Speed Auto with the F1 paddle shifters, LED Headlights, Sport Package, Harmon Kardon, and of course the Blue Chesterfield Leather....

Welcome.

That chesterfeild leather seat has me sold. I can just see people in the F56 crowd doing seat swaps down the road.

Congrats! We just drove our new Clubman on a 3 hour trip this morning. It's so quiet inside when driving I had to keep pinching myself awake.

One question on yours we found today. With the cruise set at 70 the GPS on my phone said we were actually doing 66. Wondered why everyone was passing us.

Thanks. They sure get a lot of compliments, definitely darker than the photos portray them though.

Funny you should mention. I just told my wife, this very thing. I said I know we have the 8 Speed and it is very smooth, but I feel like I am going very slow when going the same speed limit in other cars...

Told her I was going to take our portable GPS and check it out...

MINI have usually been 2-4 mph slower than the speedo indicates....most believe it for legal reasons ..some locals (Germany for one) have laws that effectively state that if the car is going faster than the speedo says, then the manufacturer is responsible....
Then add into the mix cars have 3-4 tire options that vary SLIGHTLY in diameter, and the computer is set to show 1-2 slower than the WORST CASE (new tires, and biggest diameter combo), and you can be off a bit....you learn to compensate a bit. Many owners than switch to more common tire sizes that usually tend to magnify the error (slightly smaller to get more tq).
Yeah...those seats seem to make the car. if they are as comfy as they look, WOW!!
Enjoy!!

Thanks for all that info... ...and yes, they are sooo comfy too!!!

Truth be told, I need to thank my wife. As on the test drive, I thought maybe the side bolstering was a bit aggressive for me, but she absolutely loved the bolstering (sitting in the passenger seat, as I took the corners ).

I too even inquired about the "sport seat delete" that is now offered, but only if I could still get my Indigo Chesterfield. However, I could not delete them and keep the Indigo. Therefore, the Indigo won!

Additionally, the 1/2 hour test drive did not do these sport seats justice. ...and I thank my wife and the fact that I wouldn't budge on the Indigo seats that I now have the Sports Seats - they are great, functional, and yes, Comfy too!

Congrats and good luck with the new car. I also have a April 2016 build date for my new MINI. But I didn't order mine, just arrived a week or so before I first saw it, so it worked out well.

Indigo seats looks like it's THE option of this particular series. Good choice, if the price is right just might have to down the line.

My wife followed me home from Pittsburgh on Tuesday. I had the cruise control on my stock 2016 4Runner set to 70. She said she had to go 78mph to keep up in her 2017 Clubman S (18" wheels with factory summer rubber, 6MT)

Congrats on the new ride.

Nothing beats ordering exactly what you want and taking delivery. Unless I find exactly what I want on the dealer lot (color being the only wiggle room), I will always order. Especially on a car that will be more than just transportation.

Again, congrats on a beautiful car.

Beautiful interior. Same as mine, except I don't have the stainless steel pedals, I didn't want the JCW interior package. I have the same JCW wheel, aluminum trim, seats, and HUD. I was disappointed the indigo seats override the door trim, but the lighting in the door at night is awesome.

Thanks. Absolutely love it! When you say you were disappointed the indigo overrid the door trim, do you mean because some of the blue indigo is in the door?

I kind of like it, and then the silver grey piece that lights up is nice too...
