F55/F56 Mishimoto intake for F56
Yes it does- but they say no power gains with oem tune. Their web site states: "similar to stock" HP numbers. But with a tune it will gain HP?
The AWE tuning CF unit makes a good 10 hp.

im not nearly qualified enough to put into question AWE's 10hp claim , but 10hp seems like a lot, I can't imagine the factory airbox being that restrictive (I could be wrong, and in case AWE is reading this, I love you guys!) however, I do have a certain respect for mishimoto being very transparent with there development and results, overall the Mishimoto looks awesome and sounds awesome, that's half the battle right there

Looks to be a different design with the box & dual cone filter which is smaller than the AWE S-flo filter.
Also their air box is open on top.

I have been around car modifying (before they even called it that) for around 45 years (yes I'm an old guy), and over the years I have seen many claims (some true most not) about bolt on products. I am not doubting AWE's claim, though I wonder whether you can feel that hp gain and where in the RPM range it comes in.
"Old " car guys know & remember the golden rule of early hot-rodding:
More air in & more air out = more power.
The AWE/Mishimoto intakes are just the 1st step of 3 "mods" that work in conjunction on modern engines to produce more power you can feel.
Free flow exhaust system & engine software (tune) complete the package.
One member on the JCW garage sub forum is around 260 hp on a F56 JCW!! (dyno proof)
With just 2 of the mods above!. With an intake he will be around 270 hp.
You can feel a 40 + hp gain for sure.

First off, thank you all for the kind words. Now yes unfortunately we did not yield any noticeable power gains but there is no shame in being honest in our findings. Our engineering team hasn't found a viable solution to increase power using this intake without the use of a tune. The car we used was fully stock and had no tune on it. For more details on our engineering process check out our thread here.
Our design is, however, more free flowing compared to stock with a larger air filter and a smoother intake tube. Sound and aesthetics are two things we definitely needed to put an emphasis on as well. Although the shield is open, it grabs the air straight from the stock air duct - so you're getting cool, fresh air directly from the front of the car.
Also, don't forget this intake is still in presale! You can pre-order this kit at a discounted rate before it officially hits the market. Here's the link!
It's hard to tell whether you will see guaranteed power with our intake paired with an exhaust and a tune. Our Mini Cooper S was bone stock on a stock tune when we did dyno testing on it, so we can't confirm any power gains with other bolt-on parts paired with our intake. With that said, there is a certainly a chance of increased power potential if you decide to add an exhaust, but it's difficult to gauge that without the appropriate testing. Hope this helps!
