Love Our New F57 Convertible!!!!
Just wanted to report that we recently picked up our new F57 and absolutely love this new Gen 3 Mini Convertible!!!! As previous owners of a 2005 "Justa" and a 2009 "Justa", I can absolutely say that this 3rd Gen Mini is comfortable to drive, has great handling, and provides an open road feel that both my wife and I were looking for. While the larger size of the 3rd Gen is not everyone's "cup of tea", we do enjoy the more refined seating and comfortable ride.....not to mention the great match between the Japanese 6 speed and BMW 3 cylinder engine. This new F57 "purrs" around most of the time at 1500 rpm with excellent acceleration when you want or need it.
For now...here's a few photos of the wife driving her new Mini Convertible....with the the top down..
She promised me some additional "top down" photos in the future when she has the opportunity to do her hair and make-up..

This is nice to read. We just ordered an F57 S for my wife, she's been wanting a Mini for a lot of years, but is still rocking a 2004 Camry base. I've never dealt with a Mini before, but I know enough guys who own auto shops and people via AutoX who moan endlessly over the reliability of them. I decided we should take a gamble on the F57 after talking to people about which previous generations were the best bet for trouble, and what problems to look out for on them. Both questions I got a unanimous "None, and everything". Here's hoping this 3rd gen gets a better reputation.
I was able to talk her into a manual, and she actually convinced me to go with the S model.
Here's hoping we're popular enough to get our own forum or get this one renamed to F56/F57

Love!
I test drove the new soft top a few weeks ago. Was not an S and was an automatic so not very fun in that regard. Loved everything else. I got my 4 door hardtop last February. I cannot convince my husband that I need a new car. Will keep working at it. Eventually I will wear him down.
Love that color!!
