When building either a F55 or F56, I don't see the Garage Door Opener option anymore. Am I just missing it or is it no longer offered?

 

It wasn't an option on my Coupe because of the markedly different roof, but I think it's an option on the F56, maybe in a package and not stand alone???

 

Just got a 2015 F56, and mine has it, but I don't know what package it was in. I really thought I saw it somewhere when I configured it online, but I just went through the options and didn't see it. Might want to run it by the dealer when it's time to order.

 

I checked my configuration doc and it's listed as a separate item under Audio & Tech with its own cost. I got the Loaded and Sport packages, and it's listed separately from either of those. It's listed as option number: "319 Universal Garage Door Opener with Compass".

 

The garage door / compass mirror disappeared when MINI USA updated the configurator to include the F56 JCW.

When it was still listed, you were required to have the auto-dimming rearview mirror selected in order to select the garage door / compass mirror. Perhaps MINI USA now includes the Homelink/compass features automatically? Just a guess.

You could always call your dealer and see if they see it as a stand-alone option on their order forms.

EDIT: According to the features list on the page below, the garage door opener / compass is still a $250 option. However, the external auto-dimming mirrors aren't listed.

It was always a separate $250 option with auto dimming mirror as it was when I got my R56. I suspect its just a error when they updated the configurator. I was more curious than anything as not getting a new one right now. Thanks for the feedback

 

The garage door opener is a standalone option - not part of any package.

It's option code 319 and requires you to also order the auto dimming rearview mirror (431) which can be ordered with the auto dimming package which includes the exterior mirrors (430).

My F55 is a Feb build with the garage door opener and included a compass as well.

They still don't have the Drivers Assist package mentioned ANYWHERE on the MINIUSA site, despite the fact it has been available since September.
