Mystery item

My wife texted me from work. She found this on the passenger side mat. Guess I can check the number when she gets home. Anyone have any guesses? I'm thinking it's the seat adjustment bar?

This had happened to someone else a while back, around November I believe. I don't write remember but I believe it was attached to something in the A/C system.

It's a pipe. You put a screen in the large end.

Nice of MINI to anticipate the legalization of marijuana.

Agree - this was discussed last fall. It ducted the AC to the glove compartment if I recall correctly.

It is the tube for the glovebox a.c. I had to reinstall mine as well. Just look under the passenger side dash and you'll find where it goes.

There's a joke in there somewhere about a mysterious pipe in your wife's lap.

LOL . So it allows a little AC air into the glovebox to keep your beer cooler. There's a little adjustable vent thing in there you can open.

This is correct TBN.
You need to pull the glovebox to reinstall it. This part is tough to install correctly and once you have sandwiched it between the inbound tube and the back of the glovebox you will understand why. Mine had a slight fold on one end meaning it wasn't pushed on correctly in the 5 seconds they have to install it on the line!
Good luck!
