What is the normal % off MSRP of a build in the USA? Im getting 3.75% maybe I'm wrong but isn't the norm around 6%?

Mini dealerships don't deal like ford or Chevy. Don't expect to get a ton off msrp, especially if you were in my situation where there is one dealership in the entire state. I got $1250 off msrp, and that was haggling my *** off. Although I know there has some been some incentives recently because of delays. I also squeezed $500 credit in the parts department to customize.

There is no "norm".
It all depends in how much time and effort you are prepared to invest into the negotiation process, and how far away from your local zip code you are prepared to travel to take delivery.

Forget MSRP.
Always negotiate invoice + dealer profit (including fees).

Nice build! I will second everything that Afadeev says. Have you gone to the Truecar site and plugged in all your info? We went through USAA (which uses truecar) and saved $2500 on our MINI and it had a much lower OTD price than yours. We are going to have to travel an extra 2 hours to get this price, our closest dealer did not use Truecar and was not pleasent to deal with.

Not all dealers will haggle on a build-to-order car, so as was stated above be prepared to take delivery from a dealer that may not be close to you.

My local dealers won't budge on MSRP on an ordered MINI - that's the standard response. And according to my nearest dealer, there currently is no 'loyalty program' in effect. (I thought that was a dealer thing and not a MINI USA thing, but whatever). However, they did concede a $1K price cut for dealer loyalty (having purchased 3 MINIs and one BMW from the same dealer) and they will honor whatever the current USAA promo is at the time. (Currently, USAA shows $500 off an S, 2 or 4 door, valid until Jan 2016). I'm also a member of a local credit union that offers a similar deal, so they'll give me the higher amount of the 2. So I'm $1500 off. Best offer I had beyond that worked out to about $2K off (roughly $500 over invoice), but would have required me to take delivery 2500 miles away.

I couldn't find a dealer that would do TruCar pricing on any car not on their lot. YMMV, obviously, and I didn't scour a ton of dealers.

Lol...2500 miles...I have 2 mini dealers that do USAA trucar pricing (I've toyed with getting a gen3)..within 50 miles...
I'm 600-800 miles from you...lol..

Yeah...some dealers know they are the only game in town...and don't haggle...
Maybe you will strength you position saying you bought lots of cars...but if I was negotiation the deal on the other side...I would say...this fish is caught...reel him in....no deal...or just give him the standard... He WILL COME BACK...he is in love with the car+brand....
And one tip...
Have heard most dealers order VERY few higher trim level $$$ cars....harder to get folks to lease...so if you ordered and walked away...a risk...the dealer would be stuck...so they want extra $$ for the risk of having a hard to sell car...
At your price point, the mini is not as compelling as at lower price points, and they don't sell as fast...just too many lower end upmarket cars...even BMW's at the same $$.

I ordered my F56S in October of 2014. MSRP was around $34,000 and I was able to get $1750 off plus over $500 in accessories.
