Let's all have a laugh at the expense of Mini of Tucson!

I attempted to work a deal with them on the GP2 they have listed for sale at the low, low price of.....

ORIGINAL MSRP!!!!

Not only have they listed this car for more then many sold for brand new over 2 years ago, they were rude. So let's all hold our breath until this mini sells. They say they are a one price dealer so I am starting a pool on when this car sells. Put me down for 15 years (when inflation makes 40k equal to 20k. What is your guess?

Is it me, or are there some discrepancies in the ad?

Run-flat ties?

The tread pattern shown in the ad appear to be the stock kumho sticky "Ecsta V700" and not the tread pattern of Kumho's run flat tire ECSTA SPT XRP.

6 speakers?

As there are no rear speakers (i might be wrong), is there 6 speakers in the front of the car?

50/50 split folding rear seat? need i say more...

There is probably more.

For the price they are asking, you would think they would post an accurate accounting of the car they are selling. Go figure. I guess the potential buyer is not purchasing accuracy.

Funny thing is I paid a pretty penny to have the gp I purchased trucked here from another state and with that still paid over 10k less then what they want for theirs.

I have been looking at a lot of GP ads lately, and a large majority show 6 speakers. I think it is a standard template, perhaps pulled up by VIN. I am sure that can probably be edited, but the person updating the ads probably has no knowledge or has even seen the car.

Maybe the car is on the "books" for sale due to accounting rules...
But the owner/manager likes to use it...or it generates lots of traffic..phone or internet...and they have zero desire to sell it...
A nj dealer sold a GP (gen1) about 3 years late with a new car warrenty...know the guy who bought it...was a partner in a local MINI centric garage....got the feeling the dealer wanted to keep the car from the story he told me about Basicly handing them the $$$ and saying I am taking the car....

yeah, dealer website templates tend to stuff a lot of generic base-model info into listings, both new and used.

and no, the gp stereo only has 4 speakers, not 6.
