Engine Limp

On my way home from work, I drove through some standing water. Localized flooding. I got the limping engine alarm and the car stalled. It started back up, but in limp mode. I pulled over and let it idle a bit before trying to continue. The engine was sputtering but eventually smoothed out. The light remained on; however. I suppose I should take it to the dealer, but I would imagine it'll fine after it dries out.

I picked out a 2014 Coupe yesterday. Fun drive but I'll have start a list of parts to kick it up a notch.

The insurance company towed it away the very day that they declared it totaled.

Yep. Would've been a good candidate for an engine build.

How was the insurance valuation? I am wondering as there really isn't a NADA or KBB value on these cars. Did you just do comparisons for other cars for sale online? I am half thinking my insurance company thinks my GP is just a JCW, and Chase thought the purchase price was 125% of the value, based on their estimates.
