Burger Tune MPG for MCS?

I installed the Burger tuner on my F56 MCS tonight (1,600 miles). I was at a little less than half a tank. I drove a short drive to the gas station I always go to and filled up until the pump clicked - $14ish dollars (didn't look at the gallons). I drove no more than 4 miles, hot-******* it admittedly, but no more than 4 miles. At this point I noticed that my first light was out on the gas meter. I stopped at the gas station on the way home and topped off the tank until the pump clicked - 1.4 gallons. Am I really getting 2.86 mpg??? I think that that's impossible, but I've never had the gas light go down so quickly after filling up. Has anyone experienced extreme gas mileage reduction (especially when driving hard) after installing the Burger tune? It was probably just a premature clicking pump, but seeing as it's never happened before and then it happened right after I installed the tune I thought I'd ask.

Without knowing the exact gallons used, it all a guess. My Mini with a larger turbo, I can get 37mpg's and 4mpg on full WOT at 24psi mQubed Motorsport, Manic Tuning Dealer

This sounds like the nervous "post-stage 1 upgrade" remorse clouding judgement and causing fear and uncertainty. Drive it like you stole it. Not even a Veyron gets 2.86 mpg! Enjoy

Thanks, yeah that's what I figured but I just wanted to throw it out there and see if anybody else experienced it. Thanks!

Here in Oregon we aren't allowed to mess with gas pumps, we have professional pumpers so this would never happen.

Must have been a defective nozzle, yeah thats the story you should go with.

I get 8mpg while flogging it for 30 minute sessions at the track so I can pretty much bet you aren't getting anything close to 3mpg

I've had customers come in for performance work, then call me back and say something like: "I love the mods, they're awesome, but my mileage has gone to hell. What's wrong?".

I ask if they've been driving their car like Ike treats Tina Turner. They say, Of course, it's so fun to romp on the gas, I do it all the time! I say: well there's your crappy mileage: Wide Open Throttle runs to near red line sucks up a lot of gas!

When I'm on the track in a mildly modified R53, I expect to get about 6 mpg.

I've actually noticed premature fillup issues with a few different gas pumps. Almost any of the ones with the extra 'vapor guard' contraption will cause the pump to click off early, before I'm actually full. The only way to get around it is to make sure that the very end of the vapor guard part doesn't actually make a seal with your gas tank when you put the nozzle all the way in.

It's happened to me at multiple different stations, so I know it's not just the pump in one particular spot, but they all have the vapor recovery stuff in common.

Professional pumpers my as#. That's the convenience store dude who's cussing under his breath as he dashes out to put the nozzle in.

As programmed the tune can't effect gas mileage as it's off during cruise. But if you race around more, expect your mileage average to drop

Thanks, Terry. I drove from Detroit to Toledo round trip the next day (a route I take frequently) and I used the exact same gas as before the tune.
