F56 questions. What are the physical differences between the 2014 B48 motor and the 2015 B46 motor (ultra low emissions)? I built a downpipe and Intercooler off the B48 and was curious if the B46 is the same? mQubed Motorsport, Manic Tuning Dealer

Sneak peek, will be on the car tomorrow. It's going to make a huge difference in heat and be able to keep up with the demand to make more HP with the F56.

Two are done and ready to go. The huge IC will use factory connectors, so no cutting will be necessary. Also billet custom brackets will be included, that will support the factory radiator
Price is $1195 but the first two will be offered for $995 and install will be $90. The main stipulation is the customer must be willing to drive or live near LAX airport.

Has it made any power gains - or just reduced temps?

Made about 10hp, but was able to do back to back runs with out heat soak like the stock IC. The stock IC was losing 15whp on each back to back run. My new IC only lost about 1-4HP's after multiple pulls. I'm stoked on the difference

took my 2015 mcs to mini dealer today and it is dieing on me and wont restart rite after. they can only get it to do it with the bms b48 stage1 beta plugged in. so im guessing the b46 suleve2 computer is more sensitive than the b48.

They are different ECU wise and most likely have another vacuum pump to remove the fuel that settles after turning the motor off

I may have identified a minor tuning difference as far as piggyback tuning goes. If anyone with a b46, or b48 for that matter, has an unexplained check engine light with the Stage1 tuner be sure to email me. I may have something for you to test out.

This is good news. Lots of people are waiting for the B46 tune
