Week 29ers--line up here!

Just got my car reordered--had a week 27 build, but there was a problem with the order. Now I have a new one, for week 29. Hope this one works out well.

Anyone else have a week 29 order?

Here's mine:

2015, White Silver MCS
6 speed
Dynamic Damper Control
Fully Loaded package (sport, premium, and wired packages)
Wired Upgrade
JCW Interior package, w/ Cloth double stripe carbon black
Heated seats
Black Checkered Dash
Glowing Red Color Line
Satellite Gray Door Panel
LED headlights & fogs
6 disc DVD changer
Rear Fogs
Union Jack mirror caps
Union Jack rear view mirror cover
17" Black Cosmos all seasons

Planning custom red and blue hood stripes and side design (not stripes)

I'm not sure what week production we are. We just re-ordered a 2015 and I noticed something interesting. The MA loaded the config in the system and then it crashed before they could assign our name to the car. So the priority was '3 - Priority Stock' I have this print out. The production date on this print out is week 31. Then the system came back up and she assigned the car to priority '1 - customer sold' and the production week changed to week 28. But it lists three production weeks, not sure what they mean...

Req Production: 2014/07/27
Sub Production: 2014/07/27
Conf Production: 2014/07/28

So I think this means week 28. That is 7-13 Jul. I think our 2014 was week 26, so we went from the last week of 2014 production to the 2nd week of 2015 production. We scrambled to get one of the last 2014 builds to beat the price hike, then we managed to get in early on 2015 production when the pricing scheme came back to reality. In the end we are happy.

I'm not sure, either. It looks like 28 to me. Why don't you call MINI USA and see what they say? I'm sure they'll know, based on your production number.

Just out of curiosity, what IS your production number?

Last night the car was 'scheduled for production but no date yet' and today it is 'in production' with an expected completion of 9 Jul. So I think the build week numbers means that they were provisioning parts etc in Week 27 and build in Week 28. It looks like we configured/ordered the car the last day it could be changed. Boy that was close!

The same thing happened to me. I ordered on 6/24 and found out from talking with a rep at MINI that it went into production on 6/26. Slid in right under the wire into a dealer spec slot that was on the verge of not being able to be changed.

Well, another funny skip in the parade of life--I called MINI USA because I was having problems changing the car in the Owner's Lounge. When I got that straightened out, I found that--guess what!--my car ISN'T a week 29, as my MA had said. It's a week 28, with production scheduled to start July 9.

Wooheee--it's ridiculously complicated. Just think what a Buick buyer goes through--looks at a lot full of cars at the dealer, points to one in beige, and says I'll take that one! I'm beginning to think that's not such a bad idea, except for the beige and the Buick parts, of course.

Technically it probably is Week 29 since it will be finished in that week. But whats a few days?

True, but apparently MINI USA has it as 28, 'cause she checked their computer. Either way, I'll be standing on the dock watching for the ship.

(Metaphorically speaking, that is.)
