Introduction/Thunder Grey Cooper S On Order

Greetings, Friends.

I've been lurking here for a couple months and figured I'd stop hiding in the shadows.

I placed an order for a Cooper S on 4/21 and the vehicle is "On Order" according to the Owner's Lounge. It has a production number but according to my MA, it's delayed due to the HK system. I'm expecting delivery around mid-July. I've spec'd out Thunder Grey w/black roof and 17" black Cosmos, Satellite Grey leather & color line, Cold Weather, Premium, Sport, Wired & Dark Cottonwood packs and some other miscellaneous items.

This is my first MINI and I'm trading my '07 Audi A3 with ~90,000 on the clock. Since I refuse to drive slushbox, it was a toss-up between the F56 and a 228i but I couldn't justify the properly stupid price on a moderately appointed 228.

That said, glad to be amongst the lot of you.

-Matt

Congratulations! The delay in production with MINI's with a contrasting roof and/or HK audio upgrade are well known here. Some orders have reportedly been purged from MINI's system. Hopefully yours will remain intact.

I've had my MINI-S for two weeks now and loving every minute of it. You will love yours as well.

Very cool I have a TG/Blk with the same wheels on order also. Hopefully mine will be here around the 17th. Welcome to the cult!

I'm getting rid of the Runflats performance tires. using these rims for winter tires and going with some JCW rims for summer - when they come!

Congrats Nuke and welcome, you're gonna love the car. I would agree on the 228 too. The F56 is a way better deal (and a cooler car IMO).

Thunder Gray was my backup choice if I couldn't convince myself to replace BRGII with BRGII...I convinced myself, though.

Thanks. A buddy of mine had 3 Cooper S' (two R53's and an R56) so I'm well aware of how fun they are to drive. Unfortunately, as Tom Petty so famously said, the waiting is the hardest part.
