Hi All
To all of you that have your cars. Can you tell me if there is a switchable vent in the glovebox from the air con to use it as a collbox for drinks etc?

There is on in my '13 Hardtop Justa.

 

Yep, its a smaller opening though. It works like on the 2nd Gen. I found mine was open.

 

I havent seen how it works yet, but there is one in my glovebox

 

Twist left or right to open or close.

Wow, I definitely stand corrected. I'll have to check again. Must be a very small hole. I didn't see it the first time I looked. So you stick a can of soda the glove compartment and it was actually stay cooled?

My 2010 Mayfair has that switchable vent and it works! Keeps my **** cold.

 

Every day I learn something new and nifty about my MINI S.

 

2010 Cooper S has it. Time to test it out!

 

Does this work with the standard A/C? Didn't see any vents or on/off switches in the glove box.

 

So does the glove box seem insulated? I'd hate to think the door or body under the dash is going to start condensing and dripping all over the carpet in the heat of the summer.

 

My 2007 has it. Pretty much **** on a bull IMO.

 

My 2005 has it. I turned it off. My owners manual doesn't need to be that cold.

 

Funny that I come to the F56 forum to find out a feature my 2008 R56 has...I never knew it had this feature until today! Funny! Thanks for the info.
