Is it difficult to install? Nice looking shift ball.

If it's anything like the R53 and R56 it's absurdly easy. Pull up on the stock shifter to remove it. Pop the Whalen Shift Machine down on it and use the locking mechanism to secure it. Takes about 5 minutes.

They're great, they sit much much lower on the stalk and they're weighted really well.

Yes it sounds very easy, I was given detailed instructions by another NAM member and it's pretty straightforward.

Good thing you don't live in Texas. I had a chrome handled shifter for a while on an older Corvette. Had to keep an old rag in the car to throw over the shifter handle while it was parked outside on hot days.

You leave that thing out in the sun too long around here you'd have a Spartan helmet permanently burned into your hand.

Does look very cool, though.

That's sharp looking. Only bad thing I can say about it is Go Blue! (Sorry I couldn't resist!) Sounds like it will be an easy installation. Love those improvements that are easy but make a statement.
