With the bulk of the marketing photos/videos we've seen of the '14 MCS being painted Volcanic Orange, I couldn't help but wonder if anyone has actually ordered it. I like it, but not on my MINI. A bit too flashy. I wonder if it is as stunning in person as it is in the photos and videos.

 

No, thought about it....but don't need that much attention at my age

 

I seriously considered both the volcanic orange and the red (see attached), but went with the red.

Those are also the two colors featured in the new brochure that's out, altho the orange gets black trim and the red gets white trim.

 

Thinking seriously about the volcanic orange, it will certainly be an eye catcher.. Wanted the Chili Red but it is not offered. Will need to see the Blazing Red too. Want something bright in my old age.

 

I really like the look of Volcanic Orange, but not sure 5 or 6 years down the road. I'm playing it safe with Pepper White :-) I really wish they still offered, I think it was called, Electric Blue

 

I too looked at the Orange...But Pepper White with Black stripes is the winner for me.

 

Actually we were at 1st going with the, Volcanic Orange.

We just kept looking and looking over and over at the pictures and videos and could not really tell what the heck it would look like in person.

That being so we backed off and went with the, Blazing Red with Black Roof etc.

Orange or red, it was almost a flip of a coin to me, but I went w/ the red and the white roof. I don't see any mention of red being metallic except from someone on this forum. The salesman told me it was metallic and pointed to another MINI model on the floor in that color. Light wasn't too good, but it didn't look real metallicky to me.

 

It is like to me a, Fire Mist Metallic Red color.

Very-very fine Metallic in it.

I actually got to take the paint sample and see it in the Bright Sunlight.

Should be Very-Striking looking for sure !!!

We would have gone with the White Top & Hood Stripes but that is what we have now on our 2011 MCS BRG ride.

So we wanted to go with a complete color change.

I loved the orange especially since it's free but decided against it because I felt like it would be very popular because of its big appearance in the marketing. So I got red. Hopefully my reasoning works lol

 

I was thinking MINI was pushing the orange pretty hard. Red May get the way to go.

 

I also wish Electric Blue was offered...I ended up ordering the car with British Racing Green paint.

 

In person, Volcanic Orange looks great on the car...

Not my style, but it does fit the car and lines very well.

 

Since the red and the orange are the two colors in the brochure and also seem to be the most discussed here, I'd bet they are also the most popular and the quickest to get delivered.

 

I don't know, my TG F56 is in Baltimore right now with a few others.
