F55/F56 Tracking the F56
I track mine almost daily. I actually just checked mine yesterday and it's status is 'scheduled for production'. Moved into that status from 'ordered' just last Friday. I had placed my order on the 18th.
Glad you found it John. I pretty much check my MINI's status daily. Fun to sort of watch the process. Wouldn't it be awesome if you could actually see video clips or photos of YOUR MINI in production.
In a perfect world!
Would you mine providing the missing link so other can track?

Just ordered
Ordered my red MCS last Thursday (3/13) and I see it's already "scheduled for production."
That's a good sign. Right?
Frankly, I was surprised to see the order just showing up in the system.

You placed your order more than a week after me yet your order is scheduled for production at the same time. Perhaps:
1) Your dealer substituted one of their pre-ordered cars with your build sheet.
AND/OR
2) The red cars are currently being painted in Oxford.
Any other possibilities? Either way, congrats on the purchase!

Tracking the order will be fun.
It's quite normal with production techniques today to be able to paint each successive body a different colour as they go through the paint shop, so I doubt that's the problem. It's more likely that they have a shortage of some other part that is required with that colour, like a hood scoop or a trunk lid handle or some interior part. Without that part they can't complete the car so it would stack up at the end of the production line. This is a major problem, that the manufacturer will do almost anything to avoid. Corrections of cars with missing or wrong parts are really expensive, time consuming, and all those cars have to be stored somewhere awaiting parts or workers. If the car can't roll off the line right onto a truck or train they would rather not build it until it can.
