Mine has been sitting at the dealer since April 1...no word on when they will let me close the deal and drive it away. :(

Met with my MA this afternoon. As soon as the oil filter housing gasket arrives and is installed I can take delivery of my MINI. I don't have to wait until the 15th. Right now it looks like this coming Friday or Saturday. Likely Saturday so that I can join in with their MINI Celebration. All day long with free food and beverages. And linking up with other fellow MINI enthusiasts.

Probably no preference being shown for us USAians. Don't know how they do it, but my MA was telling me about someone he sold to in February, weeks ahead of me, and mine is probably on the water and hers hasn't even been built yet.

How did you get the production breakdown information? All I get when I go to the owners lounge is "scheduled for production" and it's been that way for a week!

Mine went from "On Order" to "Schedule for Production" in 24 hours! Is the schedule for production timeframe similar for all? Or does it depend on the options chosen? This is a completely new and totally cool experience for me!

I was on order for 1 month then scheduled for production for 1 week and today still in production at the body shop. Suppose to be done tuesday. I'm not sure how it works but I think if your car is one of majority it's done quicker. Mine is a roadster and that's just 5 percent of total sales. I need to hit all the green lights to keep it going. So far I think I am doing that. I hope I beat 90 days.

the owners lounge is junk as far as I'm concerned...at least for getting a production status anyway.

CONGRATS! I've been estimating what time frame I'll be picking mine up, kinda worried I'll be out of town when its ready which will add up to a week to my pick up time.

They would be annoyed hearing from me everyday. Hope you can pick it up soon, that's gotta be worse the the entire production/shipping wait.

a point to note for others behind me in this process....

I know my mini is on the boat and the boat is enroute via putting my VIN into cargo ID on this website: https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/o...uickSearchPage and then tracking the boat here: http://www.southamptonweather.co.uk/liveais.php

HOWEVER, the owners lounge and 1 866 ask mini are both still staying awaiting a vessel (both the automated voice and human).

My point is I guess, use all assets to determine your status, they all seem to be wrong at different points in the process.

Used your tool to track mine.
Vessel Name Port of Load ETD Port of Discharge ETA
TALISMAN SOUTHAMPTON 11-04-2014 BALTIMORE, MD 23-04-2014

Thanks, right tool for the right job. Still true, if you want the job done right do it yourself, with a little help from your friends.

Tom
