Thanks - that's where I'd been trying. Must still be waiting in line at the dock.

Maybe they're shipping in two boxes?

Perhaps MINI is running a "buy 1 get 1 free" promotion this month

Hi All- Just popped in to say "Hi". After dickering around with configurator and getting my pricing down for the past month I finally ordered today!

Main Line Mini in Philly. My build is below. This is my second Mini so I know the ropes and how exciting the wait is. It's worth it in the end though.

Hi All:

Not sure why your VIN is putting your MINI on the Tombarra and Customer Relations says it's on the Morning Chant. I know my MINI sat at the port for about a week waiting for more vehicles to be booked and added to the bill of lading...as long as it's moving west!

Okay, try this link - it goes directly to the Morning Chant. Then on that page, click on the red "last position received" button and it should take you to the map showing the Morning Chant out in the middle of the North Atlantic.

Note, however, that the "latest position" tracks are all "out of range" unless you subscribe to the satellite tracking service...I'm not a ship's captain and probably won't care enough about this in two weeks to subscribe.

Based on what we had learned earlier though, the Morning Chant should be going through the Panama Canal in about 4 days (5/20/14). I assume she'll be back in range of the east coast of the Americas within 2 - 3 days...hopefully, we'll be able to track her course through the PC...that'd be cool!

Also, my MA (MINI of Portland) gave me this link to see the Morning Chant. I didn't find it as easy a website to navigate, so prefer the marine traffic site.

http://www.vesselfinder.com/?mmsi=538005333

Lastly, I went in and did a Live Map search on marinetraffic.com for the Tombarra and found it entering the North Atlantic. Looks like it left Southampton port yesterday on 5/15 and due to go through the Panama Canal on 5/27. So it's about a week behind the Morning Chant.

Good luck and don't let the suspense and anticipation kill ya'll...

Just called automated status report,in body shop now with scheduled completion date 5/21..My mini site still says scheduled for production.I guess calling hotline is the way to go for build status. IT seems my build was moved up a bit.Maybe some delay issues are getting resolved!!

Mine still says scheduled for production on the OL but it's actually sitting at the port waiting on a boat. The OL hasn't been too helpful. Much better are the CSR's on the ask mini number.

Hotline updates: 4/14: "scheduled for production" 5/9: "in the body shop" 5/10: "in the paint shop" 5/12: "QA inspection" 5/13: "complete and waiting to be released to the carrier" 5/14: "released and waiting" 5/15: "at docs awaiting shipping assignment" Now I gave up on the phone and used the WW website with my vin, spamming refresh the last couple days has gotten me the tracking info this morning. My mini is on the TAMESIS ship. 5/17: Departure from Southampton 5/26: arrival at Baltemore, MD. I called my MA for details....he didn't even know it was done. As for the owners lounge..... Basically useless but here is that schedule. 4/12: "on order" all options in the summary were wrong on this step. 4/14: it moved to scheduled for production. Most stuff in the summary was right but still missing some. (JCW interior pack did not show up) 5/14: awaiting transport . Now the JCW interior pack shows up in my summary.
Update from the WW website.
"Returned to shipper"
Looks like he missed his 5/17 ship because it was full. Hopefully he gets on the 5/20

Hi All:

From what I've been told, the ships either go directly across the Atlantic to East Coast ports OR they go through the Azores and southwest through the Panama Canal to get to the Pacific and Port Hueneme, CA on the West Coast...just keep fingers crossed that the tropical storms stay in the central and southern parts of the Pacific off Mexico and out of the Atlantic/Caribbean/Gulf waters!

I ordered mine on 5/8 and today (5.17) the Owner's Lounge was updated to have the VIN and said it's scheduled for production.

Cagger, the next vessels departing Southhampton UK for Port Hueneme, CA leave on 5/21 and 6/3. The vessels are the TOREADOR and ELEKTRA, See the below.

My MCS is supposed to finish 5/23 and is also headed to Port Hueneme, CA. You'll be able to track its voyage once it departs the factory and in the carrier's system (search using the VIN as the Cargo ID at the link below).

Wow, that is great information, thanks! So it looks like I will be on the Elektra leaving 6/3 based on this info as my build is not expected to be completed until 5/21 and then would have to go to the port in the coming days after that. I will probably miss the Toreador shipment leaving 5/21.

You and I will probably be on the same ship!
