Picking up our MCS Saturday 11 A.m...We will be early !!

 

Well, after seeing the 2015 price increases and some more test drives where I rediscovered my love of an S over the base, I made a quick (for me) decision to try and get a 2014 order in. Mini of Louisville offered me a deal I couldn't refuse and I took one of their spots. Order placed June 10, and it's already in the body shop, scheduled to finish up production on Jun 23. I guess I'll have one of the last 2014's ever built!

2014 S, BRG, media pack, sports pack, black cosmos, anthracite headliner, chrome interior.

It would've cost me the full $1500 more if I ordered a 2015, not to mention I don't like auto headlights or wipers!

I can highly recommend Mini of Louisville so far. They made a great deal without any haggling, and are quick to reply with information.

Nice ride Sepp. Glad to see you finally got it. I also ordered on the same day. But with mine being damaged in transit It was delayed twice and still have about 2weeks before I get it :(

Hopefully mine keeps to a similar schedule. Order placed 6/6, put on hold, order went through on 6/11, scheduled for production 6/13, production scheduled to complete on 6/24.

Shipping to GA instead of New York; I'm not sure how much that changes shipping time, but I can't wait.

 

Just received "THE" email! "Your car has arrived and we'd like to schedule your delivery date"!!

The most ironic thing is that I was at the dealership today to do the paperwork, and 20 minutes after I left, the truck came in. Maybe it would have been harder leaving there today without the car.
It'll be prepped and ready for Wednesday.
Totally beside myself!

Gwman....mind sharing what kind of deal they gave you? I'm new to MINI and have been looking at a 14 or 15 S. Talked to them for a week or so .

 

Stopped by my dealership tonight after work. Of course they were closed (9:30pm on a Sunday), but I spied a very familiar-looking Justa in BRG still in it's delivery wrapping through the fence... At what point does this tracking business become obsessive? The last couple months seem to have gone by so quickly compared to these last few days of waiting!

Just got an email that said I can pick up the car Monday evening!!

Ordered 4/12.

 

Mine is "on the boat." That's all I know. Late next week, I imagine.

 

Same here. Couldn't get to sleep last night after I saw the update.

Ordered 5/30, started production 6/4, finished production 6/13.

I have talked to AskMini 866# (automated and live people) and my MA and received answers from "Your vehicle is complete and awaiting transfer to the carrier", "It's still at the factory", "It's probably at the port", "It's still in production", "Can't possibly be on a ship without us knowing".

Today we tried something different and called the 866# and used our VIN instead of the production order number. The automated system then says the car is "in transit". The live person at AskMini can't confirm this and suggested we talk to our dealer. The Sales Manager said "it's probably on the ocean".

I'm beginning to believe we won't know anything until the car arrives at the dealer.

put your VIN in the Cargo ID field, and hit Track. See if anything pops up. If your MINI is on a boat with this carrier you'll get some details.

 

Thanks! Tried this yesterday and again just now...but no luck. Could be on a K Line ship or stuck some place in the UK.

 

grumble...car still at VDC....grumble....been there 12 days now...

 

Keep your head up. My damper was damaged during shipment. So the car was at VDC since may 29th. It just boarded a truck to the dealership today... If you do the math that is exactly a sh## ton of days.

 

Looks like the Fedora is docked and hopefully offloading. Anyone get any updates from their MA yet?

You're a stronger man than I am. 2 weeks with no word on the car, and I was starting to unravel. I can't imagine going nearly a month... On a lighter note though, I just got the call. Car is on a truck today and will be ready for pickup Monday night!!
