Is there some trick to getting the tail lights out??

Mine won't budge. I have tried for an hour now. I can get to the upper clip and squeeze it, but the light won't move forward and as soon as I let go, it snaps back into place. I can't even get my hand on the lower clip to squeeze it.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

Did you remove the 10mm nut first?

Might just be stuck, did you use a bit of force?

Yes, but evidently not enough. It sounds like there really isn't a trick to it. Maybe I can get my 10 year old nephew to reach his hand in there to release the lower clip...

I usually just push out and don't touch the clips, just wiggle it out.

I ended up using a long pry bar on the back side of the lower clips to break them loose, then pushed by hand on the upper clip until the light was loose. They just wiggled out from there.
