Engine light/loss of power/ not rev past 3k rpm
Engine light/loss of power/ not rev past 3k rpm
The other day as I was driving, I accelerated and the car started to sputter but regained power, soon after that it did it again as I accelerated, but this time the engine light turned on and the car shut off. Once turned back on the light remained on but now when I accelerate the car will sputter and at times shut off or rev but will not pass 3k and engine light is on also with the engine light that half full and half empty on the cluster. Any ideas what the problem is befor I take it in???? Thanks for your help
Get the codes pulled by a shop with a quality tool.
If you are in the cold it could be anything from a failing HPFP to ice in the intake.
But as stated, without codes there isn't much help that can be provided.

Sounds like the HPFP, some report difficulty starting when cold starting in the mornings while others experience sputtering when trying to accelerate. Get those codes but don't clear them as they help in diagnosing your car and if you want Mini to pay for it do not clear the code.
Mini extended the HPFP to 120,000 miles or 10 years on 2007-2009 Mini Cooper S models, any other year and you're out of luck.

Sounds like you have electrical faults for the first two codes, the P0328 is Knock Sensor Circuit High Input probably do to electrical problems and the last one is a mystery. Time to load test your battery, voltage readings taken at the battery don't usually prove helpful in most circumstances to determine a batteries health status. I wonder if it could be that simple, a dead battery?
Might not be a bad idea to test out the battery at least, but it may be that you have something more serious going on.
