Tried one. The response time was too delayed and choppy. I used two devices (iPhone 5 and ipad 3) and a laptop. The dongle itself was slow. I tried different ways to configure it too.

I snagged one of these from a New Egg Daily Deal.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...obd2+bluetooth

Downloaded Torque Lite (free) for my android and sync'd up with no issues. Was super easy and gave me a lot of great data. I mainly wanted Turbo Boost and engine temps (which it gives me ), intake temps and MAF, etc.. are bonus! It doesnt give me everything the Torque app is capable of, and I might get a few more if I went for the paid version of the app, but I got what I wanted

I use the PLX devices, and have been pretty happy with them.

So you always need to turn wifi on and connect between device.
Android can connect with bluetooth, iphone doesn't right?
How about this one:
https://www.plxdevices.com/product_info.php?id=SCANKIWI

I want to monitor, turbo pressure, engine heat, water and oil temp

Thanks

With the wifi devices, you need to set up an initial connection (like any other wifi hotspot). One issue is that the PLX wifi used to use an adhoc connection, which stock android ignores. Once the wifi is setup, it will autoconnect when possible and will not disturb your data connection (3g or 4g) so you'll still be online.

If you're using android, I would go with a bluetooth device, but it is unlikely that it will work with the iPhone.

BTW, if you're looking for something standalone, the ScanGuage and UltraGuage look like good options.

Standalone ones are really native
I have iphone. And an old android phone.
I will buy for android.
The products on newegg.com are cheap.
Which one you recommend plx or newegg?

Sorry I didn't reply sooner, it was a combination of work load and frustration with the fact I cannot locate mine at the moment I guess a down size to it being so small.

The best I could do is attach a screen shot from my purchase history. I wish I could help more. When I find mine, I will let you know if there are serial numbers or anything like that on it.

Don't have an iPhone, so can't answer your question about that.
