What kind of switch for folding mirrors?

Hey all!

Can you help me out? I'm going to be installing my folding mirrors on my R53, but I dont' know what switch I need. Do I need a DPDT? Do I need a SPDT or DPST? Am I just making up letters??

Any help would be appreciated since I'm not very electrical savvy. THANKS!

It looks like mine is actually a SPDT, with a small connector to 'consolidate' the wires from the two mirrors, then one wire going to each side of the SPDT. Looks like you could use a DPDT, which would elminate the need for the consolidator.
Wiki actually has a good comparison here.
This is a good example of a DPDT.

I would think you would only need a SPDT but I cannot tell you for certain without having a schematic in front of me. One wire in (power)...2 going out to each motor....

That's exactly what I was thinking too, but haven't been able to confirm.

Eric, I think you're right. It's definitely not a DPDT. SPDT seems correct. I'll go that route and let you know what I come up with. THANKS!
