Anybody splice their center console cig lighter? I need to do this and don't have a clue about going about it, although I hear its a pretty easy job. Also, I want it hidden, and I can't figure out how to remove the center (e brake) plastic trim, as the leather is holding it in. Anybody?

 

New Mini Stuff sells a power take off lead that plugs into the wiring under the socket.

i just squeezed the plastic trim inward around the ebrake and it pops out once you get the middle plastic tabs through the console hole.
