CANBUS and MOSTBus Interfacing for CarPC

Since the R56 uses CANBUS and MOSTBus rather than the IBus, I wanted to see what info people had about interfacing on the R56. Specifically -

What units have you used/built to do the interfacing with your PC?
Where was the best/easiest place to tab into the CANBUS and/or MOSTBus?
What software are you using?

I found that project that used a CLK, but it seems like the same thing should work for the Mini. It would be nice to get a block electrical diagram to see what is on which bus, but the two sources I tried (alldata and chilton) weren't much help.

I have an ELM327, so that might give me some basic access to CAN, though I'm not sure if the mini's ODBII port is gatewayed or if the ELM327 will let me monitor arbitrary messages on the CANBUS.
