I bought some leds bulbs off Amazon for the rear license plate that are supposedly canbus error free. They're error free alright except they burn out within days or flicker after some time. Ziza makes leds but are $40 a pair.
Has anyone had any luck with led bulbs that don't require programing and are reasonably price that are simply plug & play?

Did you ever find reasonably priced error free bulbs?

^I checked out this thread as well. I ordered the same JDM Astar Error Free 194 bulbs for the parking lights. If they are error free and don't burn out in the parking light sockets, I assume they would work the same in the 194 bulb license plate sockets. I may throw one in there to see if it works if I like how they preform in the parking light lenses.

Id be curious to see how those work. Looking forward to your results.
I installed the JDM Astar error free LED's as my parking lights, they work and are not causing any error codes or issues. But I will say they are VERY bright. They don't seem to project a lot of light but do glow a bright white color. I'm a little concerned it will cause some glare for on-coming drivers at night. But hopefully they sit low enough to the ground that it wont'd be an issue.
I'll still try them out as license plate lights but if I had to guess they are going to be way too bright.
I tried to put my JDM Astar LED parking lights in the license plate bulb housings and they do not fit. They are 194 bulbs so they fit in the socket but are just a little too wide to slide into the housings. So skip over these if you are looking for error free license plate LEDs.
I bought these error free LED 194/168 size bulbs off Amazon and they fit the sockets and fit in the license plate light housings. I have not gotten any errors or bulb out notifications.
JDM Astar - 5000k color "Xenon white" and rated at 360-400 lumen output
Below are some pictures. While I like the white color of the bulbs, these are insanely bright. As you can see from the pictures the light pools on the ground the entire width of the car. One bulb would probably be more then enough and 2 of these makes it look a bit ridiculous. I'm not sure how long I'll run them since it's not really the look I was going for. Anyone know of any error free LED bulbs with less output? Should I just go with some ultra white halogens to get the color I want but not the extreme output?
Don't know if this is still going on, but I recently bought LED license plate lights from outmotoring.com and I haven't had any codes. It completely replaces the housing with LED panels.
