Wilton Candy Kitchen Ice Cream Drive - Jun 28th
Time to do a little local MINI motoring, get some summertime treats and take in an eastern Iowa institution.
The Wilton Candy Kitchen Drive is planned for Saturday, June 28th. The morning route is EIM-unique, after which we'll be meeting up with some of our CIMC friends for lunch and the afternoon leg to Wilton.
====================
Here's the itinerary:
9:15 am - Rendezvous in the parking lot next to the disc golf course at the Sugar Bottom Recreation Area next to Coralville Lake near North Liberty
9:45 am - Depart for a fun drive to Kalona (see route map below)
11:00 am - Lunch at the popular Tuscan Moon in Kalona with CIMC (outdoor seating (weather permitting), separate checks); visit quaint local downtown shops (as time allows)
12:30 pm - Depart Kalona with CIMC folks for Riverside (see route map below)
12:45 pm - Photo op at the USS Enterprise in Riverside
~1:15 pm - Depart Riverside for Wilton (see route map below)
2:00 pm - Ice Cream at the famous Wilton Candy Kitchen
Depart as desired
=====================
******We'll definitely need an accurate head count for the Tuscan Moon, so please sign-up by clicking on the "I will be attending" link in our Event Calendar Entry (<-click this link) ******

It was so great to see everyone! Got to catch up with old MINI friends and meet some new ones.
My plan was to be at the Sugar Bottom meet-up first so I could greet everyone as they arrived. Oops! Instead we were the very last ones! Ah well, we still had fun and weren't too late getting to Kalona
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to show you all how awesome of a leader Gary is!!

Thanks for the leadership and the pics Linda!
Glad to see that Phil and Louanne caught up with the group. I know they were in "search mode" for a while. Cooper Roadsters rule.
Sorry I missed out on seeing everyone. I can take solace in the fact that the auction fundraiser I worked yesterday was a big success...but I sure missed motoring with my mates...

Sorry we werent able to make it, love the pictures though! My mini got a wee run out down to St Louis but its wasnt near as much fun moving someone's house. Also got caught in a massive downpour south of Hannibal with the top down. Thought I could ride it out but had to pull over for an emergency top up moment
Did anyone head to the brewery round the corner from the restaurant? We love to eat there, great food and top class beer.
Hopefully we will get to a future meet.
