This is my 2nd time chiming in on this. Not trying to change a mind just relaying another personal experience....Last nite I was driving the back roads of Cambridge/Orion. I was feeling very ballzee. I pushed my MINI to a new personal best 120mph for just a bit and had to slow down for a suggested curve 40mph...I took it at 75mph no problem.

Had the you-know-what scared out of me Sunday afternoon...on I-80 westbound, snowy-rainy mix, semi passed me and cut back right in front of me---dang near hit me. I know he saw me, I had the lights on. I think he was just trying to scare me...and it worked!!

Chicago area will have one

Looks like the Minis will be driving right through Clinton! We should meet them in Des Moines then drive back

The June GRR Auto-X might be a good opportunity for an EIM get-together...

There's a ton of behind-the-scenes planning going on right now with MoDM and CIMC on the planned Iowa leg of MTTS. Stay tuned.

I am positively giddy. I was out today doing a bit more pre-running of roads for the April drive and discovered that MN-43 between Mabel and Rushford has been resurfaced at some point during the past 18 months. That means that my two favorite segments of twisties in the area will be on the menu for this year's Skirmish...

...and it's a beautiful day, which helps too.

we are looking SO forward to the trek up north, and the chance to put the "suggested" curve ahead signs to a test. Car shine time coming up.

Could we all pitch in 50¢ and have a surveillance drone by then?

Perhaps, but doing the advance reconnaissance on four wheels is much more fun.

No doubt but I was thinking of thinking of tracking deer, pedestrians, tractors, and public safety on Game Day

I'm excited for you! I want Leo to get new shoes, too, but fresh oil and new spark plugs (100k !!!!) are all he's getting now. The weather is just begging for a MINI adventure. "Antsy" is right!

Maybe. Not sure. Don't want to change 'em prematurely and jinx the nice string of weather we've been enjoying...
