I gave Mho his first manual car wash yesterday (yay to no more touchless car washes for a while!) but resisted putting on the spring/summer/fall tires just in case everyone has jinxed us with an upcoming blizzard.
Hi, If anyone is thinking about staying over in Des Moines, we might think about getting some rooms reserved. There is a nice hotel down the street from Willis. About how many Minis will there be?

How about we each submit the names of a few of our favorite driving tunes, and I'll see what kind of fun project might result?
I have a playlist on my ipod labeled "MINI Music" It has a lot of my favorite songs on it and surprisingly (or not) most of them have at least 1 car/speed/wheels/driving reference. Everything from the obvious (Mustang Sally) to the subtle (Gun Powder & Lead -"Spinning tires ain't made for stopping"). But of course numero uno is: Purple Haze by Jimmy Hendricks And 2nd favorite is from the album Machine Head by Deep Purple- Highway Star. Surprise, surprise, surprise.
And, Deanman, you can't leave out Hot Rod Lincoln! Or Radar Love!
Just a few top favorites from my lengthy MOG motoring playlist:
"Radar Love" by Golden Earring (one of the more famous one-hit wonders)
"Let's Go" by the Cars
"Legs" by ZZ Top
"Ramblin' Man" by the Allman Brothers Band
"Low Rider" by War
"Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ Top
"Jessica" by the Allman Brothers Band
"Who Do You Love?" by George Thorogood
"Take the Long Way Home" by Supertramp
"Hit the Road Jack" by Ray Charles
"I've Been Everywhere" by Johnny Cash (lots of Iowa towns!)
"Sweet Hitchhiker" by Creedence Clearwater Revivial
"Hot Rod Lincoln" by Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen
"Allison Road" by the Gin Blossoms
Sorry folks, but after last night's Arctic blast there was simply no way to justify continued use of the "warm weather" EIM chat thread for this season...

That's a nice resource...thanks!
Historically I've ordered my OEM parts from these guys:
If you're searching for a part number, I've found this site to be invaluable for searching through the various MINI subsystems and making sure you're ordering the right component...the drawings are especially helpful:
How can you determine what engine you have? L4 W11B16A or L4 N14B16A. I do not see a plate anywhere to distinguish and 06/07 S looks like they can go either way.

When I do the search based on production month, I only see the W11 option for all '06 R52 S models.
