A Thanksgiving holiday spent in the green and warmth of Florida has a way of turning one into a humbug this time of the year.

Peep is a terrible mess and I love him for it! Every time I start him up there is some new warning...light...temp...tires...but heck I hate the cold too!

 

It's mornings like this (-14F) that make me wonder how I could possibly survive without heat in the garage...

Gwaihir is snug and stationary until I'm able to acquire and install his "Christmas present." Hopefully by mid-January if all goes well.

Gozer is equipped with her snow shoes and has been out and about even on some pretty chilly days. I don't think I could survive without the bun warmers The bad part is how embarrassed I feel waving to other nice clean, shiny MINIs from my extremely dirty one! I even had someone on her most dirty day say, "I really like the color". I wondered how they could even tell what color she was!!

I know exactly how you feel, COOP has been horribly filthy the last few weeks. With temps too low and a unattached garage I dont want to risk freezing anything up. Hopefully this weekend it gets warm enough I can get it washed! Plus the under carriage has been begging for a good rinse since its covered in salt!

So Eastern Iowa Mini folk, anyone have a Countryman, do you like it?

 

Good morning from Westham, Kent, UK!
We have had our Pure Orange Countryman since Dec, 2010, and love it! While we have just over 30k on it, the issues so far have been minor, a bad sat/nav radio from new, and a sensor in the engine. Di wanted the car for the ride height and 4 wheel drive. It does very well in our Iowa snow and never has let us down. It does drive just as well as any Mini, ie: just as rough as you feel comfortable. In our opinion, it is all Mini, just a BIG MINI!

We love our Countryman ALL4 . It's great in the snow.

 

We have had our Countryman since June 2012 and its been great. My first Mini was a 2008 Clubman and I fell in love with Mini because of that car. The Countryman is just as great in its own way. We had a new baby and needed an extra door and space, so we upgraded to the Countryman. Its just as much fun to drive, especially with the All 4 and Turbo! I haven't had many issues at all so far and I would highly recommend the Countryman.

 

Excellent, thanks for the feedback on the Countryman. We are eyeballing a 2012 All4. It will be Lavonne's daily driver. It just might be right at home in the garage next to the 05 S

 

Does anyone have any experience or suggestions on a roof rack for a Countryman. Our daughter is planning a trip with a couple of big Labs and will need some more luggage room.
